You missed it? Too bad. I'd tell you about it, but you really had to be there.

Case is still open. You will hear about the result when there is one as this board seems to have a bunch of news hounds cronically addicted. If you want to do daily updates you can find the case details online at this url:

This article is a month old, but it is the most recent news I have seen. While from an OSU source, it does review ESPN's argument.

Basically, we're waiting for the Ohio Supremes to schedule oral arguments and for the tOSU to file its response to the court.
I'm wondering --ok, hoping -- that if ESPN prevails, the records will reveal some mines worthy of press detonation and tender attention from the NCAA's bomb disposal squad.

The NCAA has already seen all the documents that ESPN is trying to see. There is nothing new to them in there.

As a nitpick, even though in speech people tend to leave off the final "Act" when saying the whole phrase, it's typically written in acronym form as "FOIA." And the acronym is often pronounced as a two-syllable word ("Foy-yuh") and used as a verb as well as an adjective.

<br>That fourth letter is so ingrained in me that my brain stumbled over "FOI" and it took me a moment to figure out what this thread meant. But then I am blonde.
