Any details on Jabrill? EDIT: "He'll be fine"
Not yet...interested though. I presume you are as well.
My hope is its just an early ice down. It is worrying though that he hasn't been back out there on the sideline.
Whatever it is, let's shove the word "boo boo", shall we.
Reported in LiveBlog. Ebola. Can't confirm.
He kept going out in the first half after getting hurt. Good indication it's just a precaution in a blowout.
True but not being on the sideline at all makes me worry it's more than just "precaution"
dennis dixon tore his acl vs ASU and played 2 weeks later vs Zona, and it turned out he had torn his acl during the ASU game
But that is why I said good indication rather than confirmed evidence. Dixon's performance is certainly not the norm.
Bruised knee at the worst it looked like
He may have been banged up a little but I doubt it's serious.
Rumor was he picked up the bird flu and is held out indefinitely.
Chill the fuck out. We'll hear when we hear. He walked to the locker room.
To be fair Gardner played the whole second half vs. OSU then missed the next 3 months.
Hoke: Could've played 2nd half.
doubt its anything major, he was playing after he had it taped up, looked a bit slower but fine otherwise. prolly stiffend up during the half.
He was running just fine, probably just a bruise
What is that on your lip?
Yes I have many details. I choose not to share them.
He caught a case of knee-itus and will need a knee-pendectomy. Science!
It was Ankle Fever.
Somebody was trash-talking out there and his feelings got hurt.
not on your life ...
...my Hindu friend!
He played some after and the game was a blow out, so praying it's nothing serious. Need him healthy for ND.
The snark-o-meter is red-lined, folks are pretty pissy after a win today.
Because no one on this board could possibly know anything. What do you think? Some doctor is sitting in the locker room posting on this board after reading an MRI?
For fuck's sake, it was probably the biggest question coming out of this game, on the minds of many of us. I came just to confirm that he's okay, and I appreciate not having to dig through a bunch of other threads to find an answer. Not surprisingly at all, there's information in this thread that basically answers the question.
The group that thinks that every thread ending in a question mark should be mocked - almost always with lame-ass humor - gets really obnoxious.
Seriously, after a blowout win like that that's basically the only thing I was thinking about. I could do without all the horse shit and just hear 'I don't know'. Is that so much to ask
I agree and though none of us are behind the locker room door, someone may have seen something off-camera that would've been informative.
Hoke said he's fine, so all can now breathe.
He brings an edge to the team that we need and haven't seen in a loooong time!!! Pray it's nothing serious.
Big Ten East players getting questionable shots at the knee early in a game. Someone has some bouties out there.
Unless something else happened off camera, he played for a long time after the initial cut block that had him limping. A lot of the replays showing our new bump and run coverage showed him step for step with receivers with no ill effects. They probably just decided to keep him in the lockeroom for some ice and massage.
probably just a sprained ankle. I'm an athletic training student, so take it FWIW, but it didn't seem to be too serious. Probably out a day or two at the most.
Sprained ankle in his knee.
That doesn't make any sense.
You're just the meme-meister aren't you gord? I'll bet you've scoured for endless hours saving gifs, memes and various images just to pull out the perfectly useless retort. This thread is littered with your useless additions. Congratulations!
In my opinion this site is severly lacking in humor, pictures and gifs. Go to Elevenwarriors. That site is full of humor. Just do a google image search and include "gif" and you will get a ton of funny gifs. Look at my post history. I didn't put that much effort in to it.
I responed to a guy saying Peppers had a sprained ankle in his knee so I thought it warranted an Anchorman picture.
I googled "simmer down now gif". Wow, that was hard.
He has turf toe. He contracted aerosolized Ebola. He sprained his knee. His ligaments are pulled. His muscles cramped up. And were strained. Hoke will report all of this as a minor boo boo.
Do you guys remember last year when Taylor Lewan got hurt got? The coaches had to hid his HELMET to keep him off the field. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Jabril in the locker room for the same season.
Case in point, when Norfleet went out to return a punt and had to wave Peppers back from coming onto the field.
Peppers got a bad hit to the knee, but came back several plays later AND returned a punt. I believe the coaches kept him in the locker room for precautionary reasons. I believe it was 42-7 at the time.
Why let him on the sidelines, when you can ice his knee, get him IMMEDIATE mecial attention, and rest him up in a game where, you have a 99.8 percent chance of winning?
This is all my opinion, but I'd bet money it's pretty accurate.
Go Blue guys, Peppers should be fine.
Giving too rational of an answer. 15 minute penalty, you may log back in to your account once that time expires.
The defense does not appreciate your slight against their pure first half
My apologies, I will take my second 15 yard personal foul penalty. I'm sure coach Hoke will have stern talking to me now.
EDIT: Meant to say 15 minute penalty. Drinking and all...
Boo-Boo Level: Low
He died at halftime. They brought him back. He is now an invincible zombie Peppers.
Yup, my sources are telling me the same thing.
in the locker room when he turned, yep yep he sure is a zombie. I can confirm.
so he slipped out of the locker room, pulled on his cape and left to save the day.
Just be prepared for this to happen a few times per season as superheroes can't control when crises occur ...
"we kept him out"
"he's a young kid, let's get him healthy for next week."
Hoke said in post-game that Peppers could have played second half but they held him out to get him healthy.
Yep, and said "he'll be fine."
then blitz the hell out of ND next week
All fun and games til we found out its a serious injury. Just saying.......
If he's on the sidelines he wants to play
Being young, he'd want to play at top speed, which creates injury risk
Hoke just said he will be fine and will play vs ND
initially say Sam Bradford was going to be fine?
Hoke confirmed peppers sustained an ankle injury and will be available against notre dame next week

This is a relief. A knee injury is much scarier IMO.
Not to be negative, but ankle injuries aren't always very good, they longer too.
Meant ankle injuries can linger
Yea but still a relief. Knee can be season or career ending a lot easier than an ankle.
