Antwaan Randle-El
A positive note

Denard passed Antwaan Randle El for the single season rushing record by a QB in the Big Ten. Remember how people swooned over this guy?
Yeah, we have him and then some with 4 games to go, he could simply smash this record into oblivian. Congrats to Denard.

You can't be positve tonight! That is not the Michigan way after a loss!! ARGH FIRE THE WHOLE STAFF, that will make things better. We have the best player in college football but don't win every game so life SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Yes, this is all sarcasm. Thanks for being positive...srsly.

Haha the post title was like a breath of fresh air. With all the negativity going around, I forget that we still have two full years (knock on wood) of Denard left.

Thanks for a positive op. The only suggestion would have been to title it "Denard's record". That is a great accomplishment from a great, humble competitor that we all should be proud to have as a Michigan Man.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but it looks like he's playing for one of those old IU teams right now.

But I agree. Randle-El was a one man show on that team, Indiana had a good offense but awful defense. I remember, must have been 1999 - Michigan barely beat Indiana, Brady had to pull the win out for us, we couldn't stop Randle-El and I was thinking he(Randle-El) should have been in Heisman consideration.

We can be like Indiana? Have a sweet player on a shitty team.....Nice.

Thanks for bringing this up, since the lousy TV coverage of this game did not. Blackledge was apparently too busy going out to eat and waxing poetic about JoePa. Why do we have to sit through opposing teams' alumni in the broadcast both all of the time?

That's why God invented a mute button on the remote.

it's nice to see a positive thread despite the loss.

To be honest, I could care less about stats. In the same vein I could care less about being an NFL factory. Just win a freaking football game that you're supposed to, please.
October 31st, 2010 at 3:16 AM ^
I agree completely. I find those posts that project Denard's stats for the year to be completely useless and laughably stupid. It's like seeing Stu Douglass hit two 3-pointers in the first minute of a game and project he's going to put up 240 points and shatter the NCAA scoring record! Who cares?
October 31st, 2010 at 6:32 AM ^
There is no need to rip on it. In a sea of shit and bitching that has started and will continue it's an nice oasis. Not EVERY post has to bitch and belabor the same points.
October 31st, 2010 at 3:29 AM ^
So you're saying that you DO care about stats? Did you mean to say that you COULDN'T care less about stats?
I agree about caring whether our guys play in the NFL or not. It's always good for recruiting to be able to point to NFL players whe have come through your program.

else he wouldn't be here ranting. He's just insisting that we all take a more superficial view. Ws, Ls, little more.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:42 AM ^
Okay. You don't care for stats. That's good. That must make our wins vs losses stats a lot easier to deal with.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:47 PM ^
I don't care about what you don't care about.

What a night for the kid, again.

We won the same 5 games with Tate.

D-Rob proved tonight that he is worthy of the Silver Football. No, we didn't win, but he still put up 190/190 even though he saw that we absolutely could do nothing on the other side of the ball.
Shattering that record can't hurt his resume, either.
October 31st, 2010 at 10:23 AM ^
Denard was 11-for-23 and missed some easy passes because he has no touch on the ball and can't read a defense. Also because Junior Hemingway had a mind-numbingly stupid drop for the second game in a row.

Fuck, I might be the only kid (college age, and home alone....) to say this. GET DRUNK AND BE HAPPY YOU....well, I won't say the rest. Everyone, please use rational sense. There are stats for a reason; they might not be pretty but they elaborate the point: RR wins, new coach doesn't. Suck it dumb DERPs. (read: dumb F*#ks)

Why can't people argue their positions without the use of profanity? It sounds like the kind of language I hear from the back of my car from a group of 13 yr old boys until I remind them I can hear them. A little respect folks !!!!!
