title pretty much says it all.  We knew he wasnt going to be back after he didnt get offered the fifth year anyways.  If I had one memory of him it was the NCAA tournament game against Oklahoma where he caught on fire.  Wish him the best of luck.

He did the four years, qualified for the extra fifth year under NCAA rules, isn't going to hurt us since he wasn't going to get a fifth yr, and will probably go to Toledo and either start or be sixth man. I pray the Toledo coach realizes he's getting the college version of Chuck Person (I'm open when I walk in the gym), just without the deadly accurate jumpshot.

He has already graduated from UM. He is going to Toledo for his Masters, as they have a program that UM doesn't offer - the loophole he is going through so he doesn't have to sit a transfer year. Same loophole Ryan Mundy jumped through when he transferred to WVU IIRC

Anthony Wright reminds me of Ron Artest only because whenever one of them shoots, the entire fanbase screams "NOOOOOOO!!!"

He did hit some big shots in his career though, I wish him the best of luck at Toledo.

Am I the only one who finds that quote about Toledo's arena to be pretty hilarious?

Regardless, I hope Anthony the best.  Always thought he deserved a little better from the fanbase.

They got a $5 million donation towards renovating the arena (largest in U of Toledo sports history), and spent around $30 million on the project in total. The renovation was completed in 2008. If you look up photos of it, it's a very nice facility.

the day we got that donation. It was a 7 million dollar donation with 5M earmarked for the Savage Hall upgrades. The SID prepared a press release that actually stated $5 was earmarked. I saved that one. It was a cool time. A lot more than 5M went into  the upgrades, though. After we got that, we started a fundraising drive and it was something like 30M total.

Luxury Boxes, Club Bar and Restaraunt, the Court is named for Bob Nichols, legendary UT coach.

The whole thing now exists as part of the Sullivan Athletic Complex, which includes all of Savage Arena, a small but world class weight room, a hall of fame, top of the line athletic offices, and the equipment to host almost any type of event that will fit. It's a heckuva place.

that I'll remember him by but rather his general essence on the basketball court: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

combination of decent jump shot and complete inability to dribble a basketball.  Every time he got the ball and had to put it on the deck it was either (1) turnover or (2) a couple of awkward looking dribbles away from the basket while frantically looking for the closest teammate to pass the ball to.

That also is a pretty accurate description of my game (minus the decent jump shot).

Regardless, Anthony helped get us a couple of big wins and was one of the few who performed well in the Oklahoma tourney game last year.  Best of luck!
