Garnett???? Im still hoping he mixes up the LOI's and signs with us
February 1st, 2012 at 9:30 AM ^
I went to high school with a guy who probably had a 2.0 GPA but contemplated applying to Harvard to exploit the non-zero probability that an admissions person would accidentally place his file on the "admit" stack.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:42 AM ^
Ha now thats a little crazy. Ha well heres to holding a little more hope that garnett has a change of heart again because i think that he originally planned on commiting to us but was influenced by his fam to switch.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:42 AM ^
Sadly I think that family influence is too strong.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:52 AM ^
do they take moxy into account at Harvard? If so, full ride for that young man.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:24 AM ^

Rumblings of ANOTHER potential signing day surprise for Michigan. Signing Day is NEVER uneventful! #fb
February 1st, 2012 at 10:47 AM ^
I found out what the BREAKING NEWS is about.
NPH was spotted wearing a Michigan shirt. No word on whether or not he's faxed in his LOI.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:54 AM ^
seeing as he was a teenage Doctor and all.
February 1st, 2012 at 11:44 AM ^

February 1st, 2012 at 12:24 PM ^
His longtime boyfriend is a Michigan alum.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:26 AM ^

February 1st, 2012 at 9:27 AM ^
Burbridge (spelling?) already faxed his LOI to MSU.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:40 AM ^
he could've been referring to madaris, although I don't keep track of who has actually sent in their LOIs. regardless, who knows. it's all speculation, anyway.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:52 AM ^
Faxed LOIs still won't stop people from continuing to mention Burbridge, Dunn, Garnett, Dee Hart, Sean Parker, etc....
February 1st, 2012 at 10:54 AM ^
I have to say, that's quite untrue
DGB's LOI was sent to Mizzou
But come september, we wont be through
He'll still suit up in the maize and blue
February 1st, 2012 at 9:26 AM ^

February 1st, 2012 at 9:52 AM ^
Isnt it Dorail-Beck Ham-Greenellis?
February 1st, 2012 at 9:53 AM ^
Dorial-Beck Ham-Greeneggis.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:31 AM ^
He has a hyphenated (sp?) last name because he is adopted. His coach / adopted father's last name is Beckham. His birth last name was Green.
Way to make jokes out of it, though guys. Classy.

February 1st, 2012 at 9:46 AM ^
Williams signed his LOI with Auburn, not sure about Croom. Doubtful.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:28 AM ^
Trying to explain the glorious fervor of National Signing Day to someone who doesn't care about college football...
February 1st, 2012 at 9:39 AM ^
It is such a pointless, meaningless contrived event with a bunch of grown-ups interrupting actual work to check on the whims of pampered, immature 18 years olds.
I like it.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:45 AM ^
18 year olds and fax machines.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:40 AM ^
I set a new record this morning for "Earliest I've ever made my wife roll here eyes at my sports obsession" (7:10 A.M.)
February 1st, 2012 at 9:43 AM ^
I laughed at this comment.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:43 AM ^
Amateur.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:51 AM ^
Your dedication is for shit. If you were truly obsessed you wouldn't have gone to bed in the first place. Now drop and give me 20!
February 1st, 2012 at 9:57 AM ^
Who do you think pulled the duplicate "Hello: Dennis Norfleet" threads at 2:00 in the morning?
February 1st, 2012 at 10:03 AM ^
Some hero.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:11 AM ^
Ok that proves nothing other then to suggest that you went to bed late. There are 5 hours between that post and your wife's 7:10 eye roll that are undocumented. Do I need to add 10 laps on top of the 20 push ups Private Pyle!?
(Thanks for the Norfleet post BTW)
February 1st, 2012 at 10:20 AM ^
I went to bed at a reasonable hour, checked twitter at 2:00, spent 20 minutes reading up on Norfleet/looking at highlights, considered re-evaluating my life priorities, decided against it, and watched some more highlights.
February 1st, 2012 at 11:44 AM ^
"considered re-evaluating my life priorities, decided against it, and watched some more highlights."
Thanks, now I have to request yet another keyboard from IT.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:39 AM ^
If it makes you feel any better, my girlfriend told the dog I was crazy this morning...
February 1st, 2012 at 9:28 AM ^

I went to high school with a guy who probably had a 2.0 GPA but contemplated applying to Harvard to exploit the non-zero probability that an admissions person would accidentally place his file on the "admit" stack.
No wonder his grades sucked. What a colossal waste of time. There's an application fee and a considerable amount of time invested in applying to Harvard. And then there's the fact that it's a board that reviews applications...not one guy. And each case is deliberated by the board. And then reviewed by the board.
This person also has a notebook full of plans on what he'll do when he/she wins the lottery.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:44 AM ^
wow...I guess we now know what the db in your name stands for. Thanks for the insight!
February 1st, 2012 at 9:45 AM ^
David Brandon?
February 1st, 2012 at 9:44 AM ^
It makes a pretty good story.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:57 AM ^
Was waitlisted. Several classmates who were waitlisted were notified they got in. Hearing nothing, I called to check my status. They called back and said while they had me on the waitlist, they could not find my application file (they also said that given the thousands of applications they receive, losing one wasn't bad). I called to check every day for a week and finally they said, if you want in that much, we'll take you.
February 1st, 2012 at 9:35 AM ^
Jaquay Williams is off the table FWIW.
