Another Seattletimes.com piece about Darboh; how Michigan prepared him

Submitted by Blue Balls Afire on

The article is mostly about how Darboh fits into the receiver battle with the Seahawks, but the article also mentions how playing at Michigan was one of the things that made Darboh attractive to them.  Not surprising that playing in a pro style in college would help a player transition to the pros, but it was nice to see an NFL GM acknowledge Michigan and JH.

GM Schneider:

“It’s so refreshing when you sit down and watch them run routes,’’ Schneider said. “You’re like ‘thank God, he’s really running a slant.’’’

VS. THE Ohio State University and Devin Smith:

Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey said that Smith’s football education at Ohio State didn’t leave him prepared to make an instant impact at the professional level.

“He’s struggled integrating into the whole system,” Gailey said, via the New York Post. “He did certain things in college that were in their system, and getting involved in the whole system [with the Jets] — it’s been a longer process than any of us thought it would be. He’s just got a lot to learn and a lot to work on to this point."
