this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
I prefer the awkward hat angle.
Tell that pussy to knock it off - Mike Martin is getting upset! and you won't like it when Mike Martin gets upset.
Gotta love that smile
The guy is shy and doesn't know how to handle the media. Can you blame him? He's a 19 year old kid.
I love his shyness and humility. Great character traits that will keep him grounded and team oriented.
I agree......if by introvert you mean a truely humble being with two objectives: To please everyone associated with Michigan and to win for Michigan.
I don't think I have ever seen someone so geniuinely concerned about pleasing everyone else. I thought that when I saw his reaction last year when he threw the pick to end the game against Iowa. He simply felt just terrible for what he thought he did for the team. Everything he does is done with no bearing on how it affects him, only how it affects Michigan. In this day and age, it is simply astonishing to me that he is the way he is. You just don't see it. Tim Tebow was close but I don't think there was 100% selflessness there.
Denard collapsing into Molk's arms is still one of the saddest moments I've seen. I was crushed because I knew that I couldn't even imagine how crushed he was.
Introvert is not necessarily a bad thing. Introverts can still make great leaders, and there is nothing really negative which should readily be associated with the term. While I agree with the assessment that Denard would probably score an I under Jungian typology, I also love his personality and wouldn't change a thing.
I remember reading somewhere that the majority of Fortune 500 CEOs were I's as opposed to E's
I before E except after CEO? Or something like that.
Great point about more CEO's being introverts. That said, the coaches often have Denard entertain recruits. Probably more than any other player. So whether he is an "I" or an "E" there can be little doubt that he is a charismatic guy with great leadership skills.
Plus 1 for "Jungian typology."
If I were a true introvert, I'd keep that information from most people, since the term often seems to be misunderstood. In the majority of cases, the response would be, "It's OK -- I know a lot of shy people!"
What's your story brother?
Calling someone an introvert isn't an insult. I don't understand why you're getting negged.
Introverts can be just as friendly, charming, and outgoing as extroverts; they just tend to need alone time to recharge after social situations.
McFarlin 2.0 has reached "neg on sight" levels to many here. It really doesn't matter what he posts.
Hardly an introvert. Just not a media hound
My man crush grows
that sounds kinda gross
and things start getting BRomantic around here. Let's give some love to our wives and girlfriends this week and save our Saturdays for our affair with Michigan Football.
This team is so easy to like. Everyone of these guys seem to really care about the team and enjoy playing the game.
probably because he is frustrated he cant knock you down.
but considering the rap on RichRod 's recruiting trouble like Pacman Jones, at Michigan he seems to be bringing in lots of quality individuals.
- it was before, and after that he has gotten into trouble.
stop offerin' me reasons to love Denard, I'm runnin' out of fingers to count 'em on.
Jerry Jones is having the same problem as you sir
I am thoroughly impressed with every players interview I have watched this year. I am very proud that these young men all put the team first especially in today's era with all of the self promoting guys do. RR deserves a lot of credit both for finding these type of quality kids and developing a team first attitude. The turn around I have seen in Tate this year is testament to this.
My wife says it is getting weird. She won't even wear the Denard mask I made anymore. the dog doesn't seem to mind though. With her speed (the dog), it feels more natural for her to wear the mask anyway, so I guess it worked out. That bitch can fly!!!!!
We had to do the Myer & Briggs test for work and found that I was an Introvert. It's actually a great test to show how to manage a work force, in my case the test pretty much was dead on.
Denard is pure class. Refreshing to see in the "ESPN-look-at-me" world we live in. He definately is puting the team ahead of himself. That is why he should be entertaining the recruits when the come to visit.
Having read this, I sure miss Martavious Odoms and his blocking.
He is an awesome guy for sure. But he was also named a Maxwell semi-finalist today.
do one big thing for himself and not the team. i would rather have him get out of harms way (for his bodies sake) then make a few extra yards for the team! i actually believe the more DRob takes less punishment the more holes will open up for him! i am seeing more penalties on the opposing D at first and then coaches will be more reluctant to have his players fly at DRob, thus players will slow down and, with the dilithium speed DRob possesses will open up more lanes both passing and running! could be an out there idea, but if it is concievable it is attainable. Go Blue beat purdue!
