So Tremendous just posted on twitter
Would anybody believe me if I said that Michigan isn't done?
I think I may pass out
Edit: He continued by saying "Not tonight, but in the very near future."

coming "in the very near future" but not tonight
I heard THAT more than a few times during my dating days...
I would. At this point, I'd believe just about anything Tremendous tells me
"Not tonight, but the very near future."
So Ace can take a deep breath before he has to resume frantically typing tomorrow.
the rest of this recruiting season is going to be v-e-r-y s-l-o-w. 11 months and 11 spots left!
We better start handing out medical hardships.

Totally worth it if you ask me. One of the reasons we are having such great early success is that we got in early with the 2013 class. Hoke now has more time to play defense against Urban and the other vultures and start making headway towards 2014. I don't know how much defense he'll actually have to play as all of these kids seem like they're totally buying in and are genuinely excited to be here.
/Sorry if this reads like an over-caffinated 13 year old wrote this but I'm fairly certain that this weekend broke my brain.
Hey at least with it working out this way people can, you know, get back to actually working and being productive and stuff.
we can start building the 2014 class
Plenty of spots for 2014.

MELTDOWN!!
F5 might be easier. Just sayin.
HOKE"S YOUR ONLY CHANCE AT SALVATION
It's turning into a rout on the recruiting front. Anyone who says Michigan doesn't have huge offseason momentum now is talking out of their hat. Winning the last three games of the season including a BCS bowl and domination in recruiting.
Agreed, I like the utter domination displayed by Michigan as a whole this weekend. I'd like to see a Big Ten recruiting roundup... just to see how big Michigan's table is compared to the rest of the conference.
Dantonio might get bored and angry with the length of that.
we haz all your recruits
My erection has lasted 40 hrs so im glad its not tonight..kinda hurts
I'm pretty sure you're supposed to call your doctor after four hours.
..or as Tony Kornheiser once said "Call my doctor? Hell, call the Rockettes!"
Call Pam Ward. Her voice alone is a giant boner-killing machine
she is the surest way to know your game is the "B" game. Thank goodness for the mute buton.
After four hours, I'd be calling everyone!
I got you bro
It will be weird only having to focus on the actual football team than recruiting in the fall.
Edit: Well I just suck. I switched to plain text and i still couldn't get it to post. Whatever here's the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txqiwrbYGrs
Who do we think it is? Lets start our week off right.
My guess is Jaron Dukes.
Because the only thing better than one crawfeesh dinnah is nine crawfeesh dinnahs.
Who looks to be this forthcoming recruit?
three prospects from the Cleveland area are visiting tomorrow, though only one is a four star to rivals right now the other two seem to be high 3's. Could be one or all of them if they get offers, who knows.
No, I can't take anymore.
This doesn't even surprise me. With how this weekend was, it would only make sense for a recruit that was previously leaning toward Michigan or wavering to pull the trigger. Especially offensive skill players (looking at you Ty Isaac and Laquon Treadwell!!).
Has Tread or Ty been on campus yet? If not, it's probably not them. Sad.
Has been on campus, I believe about a month ago.
I'm calling Jaron Dukes, the only one of these 8 (!!) who I wasn't sure would end up blue is Shallman. Point blank all the commitments have been from guys who have punblicly admitted love for the maize n blue. This leads me to believe it'll be Dukes.
Kyle Bosch was the biggest surprise to me, actually. LTT's timing was also very surprising.
I agree with LTT, I thought we would have to fight off Alabama for the next 10 months.
LTT wasn't that surprising given the situation. A rash of commits and all this huge momentum for Michigan after a nationally televised BBall game, and then the lack of spots. It always seemed LTT loved Michigan and was going to end up Blue; even the new Alabama guy, who is providing great new insight and camraderie in our hatred of Meyer, said he thought as much (and he was adamently stating it would be Michigan earlier today). As soon as 3 OL spots were filled out of a potential 4-5, LTT wasn't taking any chances about missing a spot. Currently we might not be taking another OT but a C, unless Dawson is moved to C and Bosch can play OG.
Really Bosch was the most surpising. Dawson was a little bit, just because he hadn't had an offer and had been in Texas for a while. But it really wasn't surprising to hear LTT accelerate his timetable.
Shane had a tweet that said there are more visitors on monday, but it has since been deleted. So who is visiting?
Edit: It wasn't deleted
I don't know if this is who he was talking about but Donovan Munger, Ross Douglass, and De'niro Laster are visiting tomorrow.
That's Hoke's rules.
without the other...
I think Dukes is next as well.
Ty Isaac?
I'm going with Jaron Dukes.
Has Tread or Ty been on campus yet? If not, it's probably not them. Sad.
Tread's been on campus multiple times. Isaac has visited too.
We need like to add a check mark to the offer board to show a guy has visited or something.
Hoke has officially put his nuts on the drumset
My immediate guess would be Dukes, but I've been surprised a lot this weekend, so we'll see. I'd say there is a possibility that we get any of the guys on campus tomorrow, and possibly Treadwell, Isaac (although I think he'd the least likely to commit tomorrow).
I'm saying Ty Isaac. A couple hours ago he simply tweeted "WOW", and I'm thinking that was in response to seeing our haul.
As a running back, you have to appreciate a killer OL haul.
I agree with that, expecially since it is two straight years of killer OL hauls. Still amazes me that we didn't score a big-time RB last year, but it would be crazy for a RB if they didn't seriously consider Michigan now.
Theres that but i believe he was visiting Auburn this weekend.
One of the main Rivals recruiting pages is a story about how Auburn shocked Isaac. It is premium but it doesn't seem good especially given Aquaman stating that he thinks Isaac is going to entertain more national offers than just Michigan and ND. If I was a gambling man then maybe I would put money on Isaac. But since I am a betting man, Dukes is far more likely to pick us. Deniro also seemed thrilled to have an offer. Plus a bunch of new offers went out. Maybe someone from them wants to hop on board. Tread and Isaac seemed too concerned about seeing these national schools that I wouldn't bet on them.
With the greatness of this weekend it would be nice to finally wrap up the 2012 class with Alex Kozan
Honestly I would rather save that spot for a skill player at this point.
After the 12/13 season we have the following options at center depth:
1. J. Miller, True freshman
2. J. Miller, converted Guard (Bryant?), true freshman (also a possible G conversion)
3. J Miller, Kozan (RS F), true freshman
Option 1 is ugly. Option 2 is kind of ugly in that it saps away G depth. I still like Option 3 alot. I'd really be cool with a scholarship going to a high 3* center candidate (if any are left) if we whiff on Kozan for the '12 class.
*Keep in mind the average NFL Center is 6' 4*. Our smallest current OL recruit for 2013 is 6' 4". One growth spurt and we could find ourself lacking anyone in the '12 and '13 classes who has a low enough center of gravity to excel at center.
If we did get Kozan then we would have C wrapped up and could only take 4 OL in this class, unless Pocric or Tunseil wants to come, although the latter is unlikely. This would allow us to take another skill position this year rather than have to get a C.
Many believe Dawson from Cass tech is slated for the center position.
I just want football back...

OMG DIGGS IS FINALLY GONNA COMMIT!!!! YESHHHH!
and raise you a Dee Hart
Well Treadwell told Ty Isaac a bit ago to follow him on twitter, in all likelihood to Direct Message him, and now he's saying him and Shane are "conversating."
It's totally him.
Listen up buddy. I was just about ready to finally start studying at 11:45 pm after a long weekend of F5ing the shit out of my computer and now you go and do this. When I fail my board exam you better hire me.
I'm sorry, I truly am. And since I'm so sorry about that I won't bother to tell you that there was a #GoBlue in Treadwell's tweet either.
Treadwell came out and said that Michigan was his favorite after he got home from his visit. It would be a similar situation to LTT. We're his favorite, but his timeline doesn't match a potential imminent commitment. If he does commit, I will be jubilant.
We've got 2 of the Illinois 5 so far.
Right and like you said, LTT didn't exactly stick to his 'announce at the AA game' timeline either.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Laquon saw what's been happening in Ann Arbor this weekend and decide that it makes sense to get on board now, rather than try to see if there's another school out there worth prolonging the process for.
well if Shane said we had a recruit and he's talking to Treadwell then there's a good chance that it's Treadwell.
sees the OL spots getting taken, so decides to jump on board?
Does anyone else think at some point in the future, Shane Morris will be head coach of Michigan? That kid is should be head of recruiting as far as I'm concerned. And if UM had Chip Kelly as head coach, I'm sure we would already be paying him!!! Oh no you didn't!!!!
I just had to run to the bathroom for a minute, or so. How many recruits committed while I was gone?
Better question, why don't you have a laptop or smartphone to bring with you to the crapper??
but he can sure be a recruiting coordinator.
Ty Isaac likes Michigan alot from what I've been told and there is a good chance he ends up going blue (especially with the line we are bringing in). However, he likes ND alot as well and is at a school that has sent some players that way. I agree with the posters above that it is probably Dukes. This guy loved his visit and probably is wanting to be part of the big weekend!
What happended to the thread with all the pictures? Am I crazy or did it get taken down?
It's a diary now
It got bumped up to the diaries, and probably into MGoLegend.
not on the board
Time to set the pods and wait for the next big haul... shouldn't be too long of a wait.
Just read a post on RCMB, they actually had the gall to to say the UM fans had to be happy about recruiting, because it was all we had going for us. That was followed up by a statement saying UM was inferior on the field. I hope Hoke goes for two on their asses, because he can't go for three!!! Yeah I went there!!!!
their envy and hatred is sad. I find ignoring them altogether is the best remedy.
delusional take from Spartans, gee what a shocker. Recruiting alone doesn't win, however, recruiting combined with coaching... does. Michigan's staff has proven to be very good at teaching. For our Spartan friends it breaks down like this:
good coaching + good recruiting = Sparty tears
Soon Sparty, soon.
the thing I'm most excited about is the OL commits. Nothing against the other guys, but I love the thought of having a killer OL. LTT-Bosch-Dawson-Fox would be an unreal line for a whole class, yet it got put together in two days.
anybody hear anything as to how his visit went??
https://twitter.com/#!/Successful_Quon
If you see what he just retweeted, I think he may be ready to go Blue
Can someone please explain what traits "project to center", and why of our 8 lineman (2012/13) only 1 or 2 of them maybe fit that description?
I understand the basics of why tackles are different, but I always thought a center was just a Guard who snaps.
Feel free to start up discussion in a different thread, I don't have enough points to make one.
Thanks.
If your guard starts to grow in the direction of tackle is isn't the end of the world. If your center grows into a tackle, you have a problem. 6' 6"/6' 7" guards can adjust technique and how they stand to compensate for the higher center of gravity and all that. A 6' 7" center is still locked into his stance (one hand down, one on the ball) due to the nature of the game.
Keep in mind we're recruiting 17 year olds at this point. A guy who is 6' 5" might be 6' 7" by the time his playing career here ends (or heck even by the time he makes it to campus). Kind of like how OLBs grow into WDEs and DEs grow into DTs. Nothing really "grows into" a center, unless you start converting TEs or FBs, which is far from ideal.
Now I have something more to look foreward to other that going to work!
I love being a wolverine.
I know it's probably best to ignore them, hell even RollDamnTide (everyone's favorite non-Michigan fan contributor), can't believe how idiotic they are. I'll just take solace in these numbers: 67-32-5
Apparently it's Laquon's birthday too.
Edit: Apparently it is his not his birthday (his interview with Ace said it was june 14th) Still. He should commit. It'd be like his birthday!
He sure does talk a lot.
Have always said that they want people who are committed to Michigan, and no doubt they are focusing on who recruits with both great talent, ability to get into Michigan, and who want to be here. Given that trifecta, makes sense we would be getting lots of early commits.
I am still in shock. If someone would have said this was going to happen friday on this board They would have been minus one and flaimbaited!
Hey, no one committed while I was sleeping last night. What's going on here?
My guess is Ethan Pocic
Great, now I will be completely useless at work today.
If the De'Niro Laster gets offered today, it will take him all of 3 seconds to hop on board.
It wouldn't shock me if Munger would jump on board with an offer today either.
Ross Douglas may pine for an Ohio offer for awhile, so an immediate commitment from him today would surprise me a bit.
Of course, this is inferring that Aqua was talking about a visitor today ready to jump on board. With the pressure to hop on board that Hoke has created with the big weekend, it could be anyone.
He was pretty adament about waiting until the all star game to announce so this kinda suprised me. I assumed he was going blue either way, obviously this weekends' momentum shifted his view but still surprised me. Honestly i havent sent this many text messages, emails, twitter posts, and facebook posts in a long long time. Hoke has proved all the doubters (me included) wrong since day one. Im beyong happy too call myself a douche for doubting.
Don't worry brotha. I think a lot of us felt the same way about 13 mo ths ago.
If this is what it feels like to be wrong I don't ever want to be right.
We now recruit like Texas... and that is a beautiful thing.
is this after tuley tillman committed or before?
so, so, good!
