This is Austin White's brother, and the link also references Austin's other brother, Mitchell, as one of the players who assaulted the hockey team with Winston. Hopefully this is why Austin chose to stay away from little brother and come to AA.

i went to high school with those brothers and graduated with the twins who are at msu. i was shocked to find out that mitchell was the one who was involved in the incident, to me he seemed like the nice respectful one of the three, with myles and austin being a little cocky and full of themselves, but they are playing/going to be playing football at FBS schools so i guess they are entitled to be full of themselves.

The Whites live across the street from me, and this is very surprising to me. Their father is the principal at Ann Arbor Pioneer. He is a very, very smart man and also very strict. Ann Arbor Pioneer has upwards of 3,000 students, I believe, so he'd have to be. I've never seen this kind of behavior from any of his children, and can't believe that any would be involved in something like this.... I guess this remains as a testament to the corrupting powers of the sin and bacchanalian revelry that occurs at MSU :P.

graduated with and was friends with Ashton Leggett. He seemed to be a good kid when he was in high school. I know that your last sentence was written "tongue in cheek," but you have to wonder how these players, some of whom were known to be respectable kids, can mob up and head out looking for a fight a year after a similar incident in which some players were disciplined (ha!). I am certainly not a biased observer, but there appears to be something internally wrong with MSU's system. I fail to see how Sparty nation can support MD when his players are running around with no fear of consequences.

1. Rivalrism: "LOL Dantonio" Works because: We hate Dantonio, MSU fans go giddy on small things like this when they happen to us. Lame because: Really not a big deal Likely outcome: Two pos-bangs 2. Sarcastic: "Newsflash: College Kid Found Drinking, Peeing" Works because: Kind of appropriate. Lame because: Really nasty to O.P. for something some people would find interesting (like, e.g. someone who clicked on this page) Likely outcome: Two pos, one neg, possibly a side discussion where O.P. defends newsworthiness of his post 3. FIRST!!! Works because: Demonstrates astounding Internet agility Lame because: Makes your fellow humans question my actual value to society Likely outcome: Ban, possible assassination. 4. "The Freep would be ALL OVER THIS if it were us." Works because: We're collectively unhappy about the unfair coverage Michigan has gotten in our biggest local paper Lame because: Blaming the Freep when the Freep didn't do anything undermines the complaints when the Freep does do something complaint-worthy Likely outcome: Between 2 and 10 pos-bangs, depending on how eloquent the Freep-diss. 5. Empathy, e.g. personal story about getting drunk and pissing in public Works because: Much nicer way of undermining the newsworthiness of the post, shows you're above the rivalry Lame because: Still undermining the newsworthiness of the post, which is hypocritical because you came here in the first place, so obviously, the post is newsworthy to you. Likely outcome: If lucky, a long thread of side-conversation replies from other MGoBloggers with stories of pissing in public. If unlucky, an uncomfortable conversation with your boss about "past misdemeanors." 6. Play on acronym clarity: "Really, another MSU fullback in trouble? They're gonna have some major full-back depth problems..." Works because: Admit it, a lot of folks read "FB" in the title as "fullback" rather than "football," so you're being really clever. Lame because: How's that working out for you: being clever? Likely outcome: Some people find you clever; some people find you annoying. 7. All of the Above Works because: Post-modernist humor derived from self-parody. Lame because: Six times the lameness. Likely outcome: Massive pos-bang. Hopefully more entertaining than the original post (which got me interested at first but then I was like "meh" after reading the specifics).

The comments are hilarious considering Sparty's reaction to the continued raping of the M football program. I quote, "Try to find a positive story to write about the football team - I am sure you can find one - just like you find the negative things to write about them." Welcome, Sparty, to the current world of the UM football fan base.

I think this is one reason some people weren't/aren't too excited about Austin White. His brothers are douchebags, and Austin has been rumored to have had some problems in high school, too.

please don't neg me to death, but like i said below i went to school with the brothers and graduated with mitchell and myles. mitchell was the nice one of the bunch, with myles and dare i say it austin being huge douchebags. austin needs to grow up a lot in the coming months and i think being in ann arbor will help him because his dad will be close by as the principal at pioneer.

So White was at the original fracas that "inspired" the raid the next night? Sounds like he was too "pissed off" to join the rest of the team at the frat-beating party.

at the original scuffle, he was responsible for it. I also noted that he wasn't named in the second event, although the police did say that they are trying to identify a couple of other people.

with how to establish their own identities as distinct from their dad's. It's not uncommon for kids to go the exact opposite direction that their parents want them to go, especially if their father or mother is an authority figure who interacts with teenagers all day. Unfortunately, our youth-centric media culture, with massive help from the entertainment industry, generally regards adult authority figures as uncool or oppressive dorks who deserve scorn and ridicule. I have to imagine it's driving the White parents nuts. Getting caught taking a whiz in public has also snared a certain legendary local hockey coach. I've been in situations where I've had to avail myself of a bush or alley as well, and I've simply been lucky that no cops happened by.

At least be accurate in your information. this happened at small planet the night of the winston "incident." it's been known about for some time with the name pending. it's not "another incident."
