Another historical first for Michigan Basketball
For the first time in Michigan Men's Basketball history, they have had two consecutive years where two players were taken in the first round of the NBA Draft.
In BOTH of those years, there was one lottery pick I might add.
That means 4/5 of the starting lineup on the 2013 Final Four team has been drafted into the first round.
Only 3/5 of the Fab Five were first round draft picks.
John Beilein.
Spurs took Kyle Anderson over GR3? Gimme a break, GR3 is 3x the athlete. this anderson kid can hardly even dunk at 6'8
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Spurs have a vision and it wins championships. They basically drafted Boris Diaw -- who is a free agent. I would laugh at Anderson to any other team, but he fits what the Spurs want perfectly.
Unfortunate for Glenn. This is a very deep draft and he knew that when he entered. He'll hear his name soon and it's up to him to earn his spot.
Too bad GRIII didn't get taken in the first. I was holding out hope the first six guys from that team would be 1st rounders. Still a great chance to get 5 + a 2nd rounder
Hardly a girl thing. Definitely a FANatic thing however.
UM vs Stanford this year GRIII 17 points 6-10 Huestis 9 points 3-11

For a guy who did not accomplish much at UM and did not get a fifth year from Beilein, meaning he missed out on the program getting really good, his tweets show a loyal streak.
was an absolute joke. If the Thunder really liked him they could've traded down 20 spots. Worst pick of the first round if it weren't for the Raptors taking a guy nobody's heard of at 20.
accomplish four first round draft picks in two years?
Rice, Robinson, Vaught and Mills.
I think its gonna be interesting to see how these guys play out vs. the fab five.
jdon
Another sign that the program is becoming elite. Suspect GRIII is going to be picked soon, then he can start earning his way into the league. Nik and McGary should also perform well.
The Timberwolves fart in your general direction.
I'm not a basketball guru, but if this was the case, maybe he sat there and thought he couldn't afford to potentially play out of position for another year.
Calling GRIII a moron is despicable and childish. The people who upvoted you should be ashamed of themselves. He made a rational decision. Whle it may not have turned out the way he wanted, there is no way to know whether he was right or wrong. You can only pretend to know that he would have played SF this year and been drafted higher next year. He was projected to go much higher last year. Did you also call him a moron for coming back? Obviously, being ready isn't a prerequisite for being highly valued in the NBA.
to the Wolves, 10th pick of the 2nd round. From a "Wolverine" to a "Wolve"
My gf said the same exact thing!
She was also sad that Nik didn't go to the Bulls because she wanted to go to a few games lol.
8th overall was awesome though, especially before McDermott!
I hope that GR3 can at least get some playing time where he's at, I instantly had to go lookup the Timberwolves, know nothing about them.
