Another example of a mistake/bias/crappy writing by [fill in blank media]

People can post what they want, I get that. But I think most people that frequent Mgoblog are well aware that many MSM outlets are shoddy, biased, or just plain dumb ("MSM, You are so dumb. Really really dumb. Fo' real.") That's why we flock to Mgoblog. As Brian has pointed out, he wears his bias on his sleeve and gains credibiltiy from the content of his writing, not the false cloak of "objectivity" that allows for half the claptrap that gets published on CFN, the Freep, or other sources. But it seems that the MGoBoard is constantly littered with examples of articles that have either a minor typo or full on Sharp-ian ridiculousness re: UM football. My suggestion - stop reading sites you don't find credible. Stop reading papers you think are populated by shitty writers. And if you can't stop that, stop posting them on an incredibly popular UM blog that inevitably will lead to clickthroughs to said shitty writers and shitty sites. I just don't get the need to constantly post about (or even sometimes link) about crappy articles that will inevitably cause a few curious Wolverine fans to click through or search for them, giving the site a few more hits. NOTE: I'm not trying to criticize those that do it. Trust me - I'm a UM junky, too. I'll read threads on OSU message boards full-well knowing they'll infuriate me ONLY because there may be a post or two about UM. But I really do think posting about every single one of them on a popular blog only helps such claptrap survive.

I say 60.

Seriously between the grammar comments and "Big Redacted-worthy" downer post (posts?) after the ND win -- I am almost waiting for a "Down in Front" comment one of these days.

FYI - I am also a grammar and spelling Nazi, I just try to not let it get to me so I don't loose (<==personal #1 pet peeve) my mind.

I can sympathize with you. I just can't imagine the rare piece of new information you find there is worth the stress of reading all that garbage to get to it. Maybe it has a "behind enemy lines" kind of appeal that I haven't discovered yet.

Sarcasm noted, and even upvoted.  But no harm in reminding every now and then.  I know, I know, posts complaining about board clutter only serve to add to the clutter.  But the article-bashing has taken on new life since 2-0.

BKlein09 - you're right - if I hadn't intended to (impliedly) call you out, I shouldn't have copied your thread title.  My bad.

Now, back to locating my effing methadone pills.

My bad man.

You could have just posted this within my original thread though.

I guess i just don't see the problem with those threads when I look at the board and there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming amount of extremely important Michigan info going up.

I mean its noon on a Wednesday. What are we supposed to talk about?

I have seen some of the worst written articles in light of our recent success.  Most of these poorly written articles are just biased words from a Michigan hater.  I don't like Rex Ryan but I love his quote, "If everyone hates you then you must be doing something good." The more hate we get the more success we're obviously having.  Hopefully by the end of the year everyone hates us.
