Another 2016 QB offered

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Harbaugh wants to take two QBs per class every year.

He offered another 2016 QB today.

Newest #Michigan offerree Victor Viramontes said Harbaugh saw him throw and reminded him of Colin Kap http://t.co/Cajhc8e0x4 @TremendousUM

Victor Viramontes is a 3 star dual threat QB from Norco, California.

He has offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin and Washington State with him favoring the latter two prior to Michigan's offer according to his 247sports profile.

The offer that kind of interests me is Georgia Tech because of their triple option offense.

Harbaugh knows what he's doing but you can only put one qb in at a time. At what point do you stop recruiting the position for OL and DL or other positions? It seems like you reach a point where you'll become too thin elsewhere even if your qb position is really good.

He played Rich Gang in the beginning of his highlights so that's not a good impression. He's pretty fast, but the teams he's playing can't tackle at all. I definitely like Peters more, but what do I know. If this kid was to commit, that would be like what, 6 or 7 scholarship QBs at once?

If he's deemed athletic enough to run the triple option, he might be athletic enough to project to other positions if Qb doesn't work out. And we know Harbaugh likes guys that can play more than one spot

Ended up at different positions (such as safety). I could see that in this case.

I also agree with Magnus above that the video looks sped up a little bit. Looks like he has the potential to be a solid QB/player still, but not at the speed his highlight tape is at.

Interesting.  Another dual-threat QB in the mix.

I wonder what Harbaugh is thinking?  If Luck 2.0 shows up, then grab him (obviously).  But short of that, go for the best athlete at QB provided he can throw the ball?

It makes me wonder if the Colin Kaepernick experience at SF opened his eyes a bit at what a QB like that can do.

I can't wait for the fall.

I'm not sure how good this kid really is, but I'm just not a Kapernick fan and now Kap is not gonna be coached by Harbaugh anymore, I think he has peeked already.
