I for one am glad about this duo calling The Game Saturday.

Anything is going to be better than last week.

Brock Huard is definitely not a favorite of mine. I'd rather listen to Spielman talk on and on and on about how Denard needs to take those throwing lanes and turn them into rushing lanes.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:36 AM ^
Did anyone else notice that he referred to the game he was calling a "podcast"?
November 24th, 2015 at 12:06 PM ^
Yes!
I thought I must have misheard "broadcast," but it definitely sounded like "podcast."
November 24th, 2015 at 11:36 AM ^
go back and watch the last two games.
drink every time Huard says "tremendous."
finish your drink if he says "tremendous poise."
November 24th, 2015 at 11:42 AM ^
Looks like I will be getting quite drunk on black Friday.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:53 AM ^
It'll turn into blackout Friday.

Even my University of Washington homer buddy can't stand Brock Huard. Good grief, someone tell him he can exhale without having to make word sounds.
I would pay CASH MONEY to someone for a reliable system that would sync the Beckman/Dierdorf radio stream with the TV broadcast.
November 24th, 2015 at 12:12 PM ^
is Brandstatter/Dierdorf, and you aren't missing anything.
November 24th, 2015 at 1:06 PM ^
Tools required: DVR, Tune-In internet radio app.
Step 1: Arrange for radio to be BEHIND TV-- Generally I find over-the-air radio to be ahead of the live TV feed, while the Tune-In internet broadcasts are somewhat behind. Use the Tune-In feed to ensure that the radio is *behind* live TV
Step 2: Use DVR to sync broadcasts-- Record the live TV feed to DVR... wait a minute or two until you're sure the TV is (once again) behind the radio. Play the DVR recording, fast-forwarding through the DVR to "catch-up" to the radio. If done correctly, you should be watching a slightly delayed "live" TV broadcast (on mute, of course), while listening to a synced radio feed via Tune-In.

Chills...enjoy everybody!
November 24th, 2015 at 11:51 AM ^
Hey, where's the game?
I did not need to get anything done today anyway.
November 24th, 2015 at 1:40 PM ^
I'm a big fan of Brad Nessler. IMO, he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
November 24th, 2015 at 5:29 PM ^
Nessler - the guy who thought (Minnesota game? Can't remember) that touching the ball outside the endzone on a kickoff (but not possessing it) and then gaining possession and kneeling in the endzone was a safety. I am a casual fan and know the rules better than this dipshit who makes a career of football.

No former Buckeye players calling this game? Score!

I like Spielman and Herbie in general, but not doing a Michigan - Ohio State game.
It's too awkward. They are human, they have homer tendencies just like anyone does. Then when they try to hide them, it comes off patronizing.
Better to just avoid the whole awkward dance and have somebody broadcast who is just going to tell it like it is.
November 24th, 2015 at 12:14 PM ^
was good last week calling the MSU v. OSU game. You could tell he was completely stunned but maintained nuetrality well.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:46 AM ^
I've always enjoyed Speilman's take on the game. But the amount of Urban Meyer chortling he did in the 2011 UM/OSU game was unbearable. His silence after Miller threw the interception to end the game was the sweetest sound.

I remember him being an extreme dick during that broadcast.

I miss Keith Jackson

or Bill Flemming!

He is greatly missed.

The GOAT.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:51 AM ^
Hearing him say, "And HEEEEERE COME THE WOLVERINES" just gave me goosebumps.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:55 AM ^
Just gave me goosebumps after reading your post, thinking about KJ saying it. I'll never forget the 1998 Rose Bowl with him and Griese and Bob getting emotional after Brian won the MVP. What a fantastic moment.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:54 AM ^
His intro to one of the Michigan - Penn State games in the '90s: "It should be a cracking good game."
November 24th, 2015 at 11:45 AM ^
Might be weird but I get goose bumps hearing him talk now. I grew up hearing him almost every weekend in the fall. Brings back major nostalgia.

THE voice of College Football, bar none.

HELLLLLOOO HEISMAN!

not complaining. Solid crew. Although it seems like Nessler's voice cracks more and more each year.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:34 AM ^
Any word on the Refs?

O'Neal (SP?) crew Ore St/MSU (bad that we know the names) or the guys we had last week give me pause.
Hearing JH talk about clarifacation from the leauge office has me wondering if they are out to get us.
/Puts on bigger tin foil hat.

+ 1,000 for "bad that we know the names".
That says it all.
Like the Captain of the Exxon Valdez oil tanker ship, the only way you ever know the name is because bad things happened.

For as much as Nessler annoys me, I'll take him over most and at least he is aware of rivalry's history.
November 24th, 2015 at 11:45 AM ^
you won't get someone rooting for one team like Michigan vs IU game

This is probably as good as we could hope for - anything but Spielman at this point. I think he's okay overall but not for this game.

Agree. Sure Hackenberg is Cutler 2.0, but even he wasn't worthy of the endless criticism from Huard. It really got to be embarassing. And I was rooting for his opponent!
Blackledge is a Jabrill Peppers fluffer extraordinaire. And that's fine.
November 24th, 2015 at 1:57 PM ^
Just stick around until 3:30 --- more "endless criticism" from Brock!
