Angry Penn St Tight End Hating God strikes again
Penn State has lost a 2nd tight end to a season-ending injury. I feel bad for Penn State and Paterno, as the wheels have really come off of their season. But this should make it marginally easier for our defense.

It ain't like anyone is going to fire Joe-Pa anytime soon.

too bad for their program. I can't believe that with two highly rated QB's, they haven't been able to find ONE that can really lead their program. Bolden is at least a year off and Newsome is a spark plug... temporarily. The loss of the TE's will just make it even harder for Bolden.
On the plus side, we don't have to worry about many 92 yard TE bombs, now.

We always have to worry about 92 yard bombs to the TE. Always.

I'm not surprised at all. Penn State's QB development since the Kerry Collins era has, by-and-large, been poor. You will never see JayPa do with Bolden or Newsome what RichRod has done with Denard.

The PSU game is going to be one of the most striking strength on strength matchups of the season. Penn State's offense is just awful--like Michigan's defense awful.

The resistable force meets the movable object!!

I feel bad for the kid but not for Penn State. Whatever gets us a W against them I am fine with; Especially after their AD decided not to make the Mich-PSU game a white out because they didn't think we'ed be worthy of that by then. Oh how the tides have turned.

but on the other hand Penn St always seemed like a program that was "doing it right." Paterno has done a good job graduating players, has given a lot of money back to the University, and so on. So I'd like to see them doing well, although perhaps not well enough to beat us. I'd rather see a team that doesn't do it right collapse, like USC or UNC. If Penn St fans feel like they have to resort to making fun of our coach rather than celebrating theirs, that is their problem.

Can we stop mentioning all this "no whiteout disrespect" crap? Who cares? I don't think this is any sort of huge diss to Michigan, and it's not like we maize out for every decently-difficult game on the schedule. We're maizing out MSU, but not Wisconsin... do you think Bielema is putting that on the bulletin board? I doubt it, and I know that Coach Rod and our team don't give a flying toot about what the fans are wearing when we go to the Beav. Let's give it up.

I respect JoePa, but will never feel sorry for their fans. Remember the Rich Rod farewell tour shirt. I certainly hope they don't have more injuries, but I wouldn't mind hanging 50 on them.

PSU looked pretty good before the season started . . . now they look positively mediocre.
This injury is unfortunate (especially for the player) but I'm more confident about us beating PSU than MSU, Iowa, W or OSU.
Struggling offense, solid tackling but slow D . . .
I think they are one of our 8 wins.

With one more top line blocker down, PSU is going to struggle to field an OL and blocking package even in class to UConn. our passing defense stats aside, our DL is getting decent pressure for a 3 man rush. I would think if we mix in more 4 and 5 man rush packages, Martin & RVB are going to get a lot situations to put a hit on the PSU QB. Just hope we wrap up...

To see how bad PSU looked on saturday, their offense is way out of sync and their offensive line is not very good. They do not have the fire power to keep up with our offense, not even close. Only thing is their defense is decent, but they seemed to be worn out in the 4th quarter. It's just a matter of how often we need to strike that rock before it breaks.
I think this will be an easier than expected win for us, and a big stat game for DROB!
GO BLUE!

felt badly for us over the last 3 years with all we have endured (injury wise and other).

Is this the same god that hates you guys?

They're 3-2. The wheels haven't come off just yet. I might feel sorry for them in a month's time.

I'm giddy like a schoolgirl waiting for this game.
- Stunningly good offense vs slow "traditional" defense built to play against the old B10
- Bad defense vs horrid offense with a freshman Qb
- PSU fans who have talked shit for 3 years are scared
Now they are already talking this one down with the "rebuilding" meme. Too bad they wouldn't accept that we were/are rebuilding for the past two years. This game was a whiteout because their record during whiteout games hasn't been so good recently. Had little to do with M, but it actually looks like a wise move now.

I'm from Pa also, talk about a dillusional fanbase. I didnt hear a peep about PSU when we reeled of 9 in a row, now its how the "own" Michigan. I can't stomach anything about the school.
Here is a little story about my friend in high school being recruited by PSU (he ended up at Wisconsin) , we were seniors in 1998 and back then when they called his house their big pitch was "come be a part of PSU this wil most likely be JoePa's last recruiting class and you can be a part of it" Fast forward 12 years to 2010 he is now a coach on our high school team, one of the kids is getting some attention for PSU and guess what they told him???? Yep a chance to be JoePa's last class he will recruit. Same pitch and I wonder how many kids fell for it.......

"Come be a part of a painful coaching transition, turnover and rebuilding process! It'll be awesome!"
