This story would have been a lot better had the cop smoked a bowl the kid instead of arresting him. Lame.

"the cop smoked a bowl the kid instead of arresting him."  Are you on marijuana too?

If AIRBHG is going to be this vindictive, then Iowa may need to see if Albert Young can take time off the Steelers' practice squad to come and help out. Alternatively, I wonder if Jeff Brinson  could come back and take a year off from his yearly ACL tears.

Actually, Iowa should just do what most companies might - if you cannot fill the position, eliminate the position and disperse the duties to other personnel. The logical choice might be to merge this position with the WR or TE position, but they would need to do so in such a way that AIRBHG believes that Iowa has simply eliminated or somehow outsourced its rushing game.

2001:

-Ladell Betts, who had managed to put up respectable numbers for four years despite playing for some of the worst teams in the history of the school, gets hurt before what would have been his only bowl game

2002:

-Aaron Greving, the projected starter, gets hurt and misses the start of the season, quits halfway through

-Incoming Freshman Justice Hariston fails to qualify, goes to prep school, eventually goes to Rutgers instead

2003:

-Jermelle Lewis, a highly touted recruit who looked great as part of a 1-2 punch with Freddy Russell in 2002, tears his ACL

-Albert Young breaks his leg

2004:

-AJ Johnson flunks out prior to the season

-Freddy Russell goes pro despite being able to petition for an additional year, presumably because he couldn't wait to get his CFL career started

-Jermelle Lewis tears his other ACL

-Albert Young tears his ACL

-Marcus Schnoor tears his ACL

-FB/HB Champ Davis tears his ACL

-Marques Simmons misses most of the year with a high ankle sprain

-Damien Sims briefly moves to CB, tricking AIRBHG and insuring his status as the only Iowa running back of the last decade to make it through all four years completely healthy.

2005:

-Justifiably proud of his stellar work the year prior, AIRBHG rewards himself with a year off.

2006:

-In-coming 4* recruit Kalvin Baliey flunks out

-Corey Robertson flunks out

-Albert Young suffers a variety of minor injuries that, when combined with all the other leg injuries he'd had, leave him a shadow of what he was in 2005, when he led the Big Ten in rushing during conference play.

2007:

-Shonn Greene flunks out

-Dana Brown hits a girl and gets kicked off the team

2008:

-Javon Pugh transfers after a mysterious suspension

-Promising in-coming freshman Jeff Brinson gets hurt and misses the whole year

-In-coming JuCo recruit Nate Guilloy leaves the team and transfers after spring camp

-Special teams gunner and garbage time running back Jayme "The Irish Car Bomb" Murphy suffers what I believe was the first of an estimated 7000 concussions. He would eventually be removed from the team for his own good.

-The Legendary Paki O'Mera begins his reign of terror on the Iowa depth charts

2009:

-Jeff Brinson gets hurt again

-Projected Starter Jewel Hampton tears his ACL before the season

2010:

-Brinson tries to escape by transferring to UCF, but AIRBHG hunts him down and tears his ACL again

-Jewel Hampton tears the other ACL, eventually transfers

-Wegher gets a girl pregnant and leaves the team never to return

-Coker breaks his collerbone in fall camp and misses the start of the season

-Robinson suffers a concussion, has grade issues, and eventually gets busted for pot at the worst possible time and is thrown off the team

-Even goddamned Paki O'Mera gets hurt

2011:

-McCall gets hurt on his tenth career carry, eventually gets suspended for mysterious reasons, transfers at the end of the year

-Coker is suspended for a code of conduct violation prior to the bowl, eventually asks for a release.

2012:

-Greg Garmon is arrrested before he can even make tit to his first summer workouts.  This is the earliest that AIRBGH has ever acted.

So glad he didn't commit to Michigan, want quality people here.

Can't help but feel sad though, if he did stay at UGA, the SEC would have made all weed usage just go away....

I don't smoke weed anymore and am one of the few on this board who doesn't advocate for its legalization, but to say people who use it are "not quality people" is crap. I know a lot of quality people who drink, smoke, have a few tokes. I know it is illegal and therefore one shouldn't take part in it, but it doesn't mean if they do they aren't a quality human being.

So you're saying, not a single UM player on the team now uses weed?  While I like to think my team's character is better than everyone else's, I'm not willing to assume UM players are 100% different from the rest of college football.  60% of Oregon's team smokes weed, but we're at 0% apparently?  I sincerely doubt it.  I'd like to believe it, but I doubt it.
