Angelique wants the spring game at night.

Submitted by wolverine1987 on
Angelique, in the sprit of RR's wish to break the attendance record for spring games, offers up the idea of having an all-afternoon series of events, followed by a tailgate and playing the spring game at night. She doesn't mention whether RAWK music or maize jersey's would also be a part of it, but we can always hope. But seriously, I think it's a pretty good idea myself http://www.detnews.com/article/20100313/OPINION03/3130385/U-M-spring-ga…

This is a double post, but I can't blame you for not knowing because of how terrible the other guy's topic headline is. I mean seriously, that guys title is bad. So this is one of the only no fault double posts I've ever seen.

Because I thought it was interesting. I saw that this thread had, but had no idea till I read it that there was another (because who could tell). All posts should be clear what their about in the subject line; you shouldn't have to do a search that won't find the same info in the subject. Unless it's a bait and switch joke title.

there is something charming and casual about the spring game that has been lost. don't get me wrong, i love the information that comes out of spring ball and i love to see the new guys and all that and it is very exciting. but i also liked to go to the spring game and sit in the sun sprawled across three rows of bleachers, then walk down to the wall and see how the field looked from there and then walk to the top of the seats and see it from there too. and there was no music and no announcers - just chill out and watch some practice. nevertheless - spring ball starts in less than 48 hours.

If you care enough about Boba freakin Fett to neg someone over it, you should at least know the line...yeesh. And yes, I'm not sure the Avatar having a winged helmet means even some blind guy can dump our team in a Sarlacc, but it's sure felt that way for the last couple of years...

Nice post. This "double posting" presents the perfect set of examples to address a point that I've considered relatively annoying around here lately. In this post, the author gives a brief synopsis of the published article, his opinion on the published article, and the link to the published article. This is perfect and very "professional." I know the point he's trying to make, and I can follow the link if I'm more interested. On the other hand, the author of the previous post in this pair is offered up as the "amateur." His post reads, "this would be interesting to say the least - LINK." He could hardly say less to say the least. Kudos to finding a potentially "interesting" link, but this is lazy and next to worthless, unless your link is not interesting and then it's worse.

Is just another recruiting tool. If you are a recruit and you see 100,000 fans in the stadium just for a scrimmage, I think you would be pretty pumped and will leave a great lasting impression on a player and his family.

Although she makes a logical point, I personally want the game early in the day so that I don't have to wait any longer for football to be back (even if it's only spring ball).

As long as we are asking for a better spring game day... Keep the game when it is, but place kegs all over the stadium. After the game and the rest of the activities, and the kegs are drained, line up all the U blue busses to carry folks to the diag, where more university provided kegs will be placed. After those kegs are drained, more U blue busses to carry folks to one of two choices...Ypsi Deja Vu or Main Street for dinner and drinking.
