A sample for your evening entertainment:
How the blue fuck does this happen? Michigan hasn't won shit, they have a mostly trailer trash fanbase, and now they are Nike's anointed ones? WTF. Hackett also saying he's had offers from EVERYWHERE for UM to play neutral site games to see the team and Harbaugh including 160K seat stadiums, where the fuck is that? the moon? I hope those fuckers lose every game and their fucking stadium falls into a sinkhole. Whoever mentioned recruits and gear is right, teenage kids are fucking stupid and love cool gear, guess who gets all the cool gear now, public enemy number 1.
They actually believe that Michigan isn't a big time program to the point where they get their panties in a wad when a neutral party says that Michigan is one of the greatest programs. We went through this with Harbaugh. "Why would a successful NFL coach take a downgrade to go to scUM?" to "How can Michigan of all programs get the # 1 deal in the country?" They just don't understand.
If I were Hollis I would reach out to Russel Athletic (they currently have Georgia Tech) or New Balance (they have Wyoming I think), or better yet one of the Asian companies like Li Ning. Why be a big fish in a very big pond with Nike when you can be THE fish in the pond with another company. Make the brand, just like Jordan and Georgetown did with Nike in the 80's.
is strong in that thread.
As irritated as they seem to be here, it is all put in perspective by the fact that you could post a thread about how the feral cat population is up on this or RCMB or some other Spartan fansite and it would somehow come back to "Fuck Michigan" and various colorful if unclever characterizations of our fanbase. That being said, I found their invented sense of entitlement (that is to say, their wonder at how we could possibly get a better deal than they could) being threatened by this deal very, very amusing.
I think Michigan absolutely got the Moeller situation wrong and I think both Lloyd Car and Bo himself would have said so. Moeller screwed up big time, but he didn't deserve to be run out of town for it. His actions were not unforgivable. He would have been on the hot seat for sure after that incident, but he didn't deserve to be canned.

What a motherFREAKING concept. Thanks AC!
Love Chengelis. Now Mlive is going to put out a full driveling story for each of these points over the next few days.
When people are the best in their profession it should be said that they're the Jim Hackett of said profession.
can really hack it
a pretty critical person. Sometimes my wife tells me that when it comes to sports I seem to be able to find a reason to complain about anyone.
I can find absolutely nothing to complain about when talking about Jim Hackett. The man has pulled every string perfectly since coming on board. That is exceedingly rare for someone who has to make so many high-level, high-pressure, public decisions, where there are millions of critics.
Kudos to you Mr. Hackett. Even if anything that he has done ends up not working out as perfectly as we hope it will, he has set up Michigan Football and Michigan sports for success as well as he possibly can.
