American Muscle: What are your thoughts?

I thought the pilot episode was pretty exciting. Was hoping to see Brock Mealer a bit more, but I'm sure they will save that for another episode. Looks like they led with Richard Sherman to drive ratings. 

I felt the show was pretty interesting despite not showing much. Tough to do when everything happens in a gym. But the bits with Mrs. Babcock were cool and it was also nice to see the former U-M players, Brandon Graham, David Molk, Vlad Emilien and Carson Butler who stole the show with his catch on Sherman.

What did everyone else think? Will you be watching again? Will you be making the trek to Plymouth to lift until you puke?

I like your healthy skepticism.  My counter would be how much do you think they would have in the budget to pay R. Sherman to come to Plymouth?   As a follow up how much would it take to get to R. Sherman to come here?   I don't see these 2 numbers meeting on a graph anywhere.   

Maybe I'm underestimating the budget of a science channel.

I never thought of the money thing for Sherman. Where did you hear/see that Sherman got paid? I not saying he didn't. Did he get free airfare into Metro?

He did seem like a very random guy to just show up in cold ass Plymouth to see a gym and tutor Vlad Emilien.

Loved the show! Don't care what Hypertrophy really is. All I know s that it looks very hard to do! Great to see our boys! It takes a special athlete to play on Sundays. Why didn't TJ Lang come to UM?
