Amedeo Delle Valle (Findley Prep) on ESPNU Now
For those that want to see Amedeo in action, turn to ESPNU now.
I don't think I get that channel, so I'll be glad to hear people's thoughts on his game.
Well, after seeing him for less than 2 minutes, my only observation is that his FT routine is too lengthy for my short attention span. But that can be fixed.
He's important because we are short on ball handlers. Amadeo is supposed to be a good ball handler and 3 point shooter. If we were to land him, we'd have a lot more room to breathe in the backcourt.
I want the dude with the 'dreads.
The only guy that passes is Delle Valle. WTF. I guess everyone wants the spotlight on national tv.
Findlay Prep is just so loaded that it's very hard to scout one player on their team. As has been stated, there isn't a whole lot of "passing" that goes on in their offense, so if you aren't selfish, you aren't going to have a big stat line. That being said, Della Valle has seven points right now on 1-2 shooting and looks to have a pretty good free throw stroke. Commentators said he shoots over 50% from downtown, but I cannot confirm that.

Prep schools should be eliminated. The quality of basketball played is just putrid. Also, get off my lawn.
Intersting article about findlay prep, I didnt realize it isn't much of a school: http://www.masslive.com/hoophallclassic/index.ssf/2011/01/findlay_prep.html

I love that he hit the floor so often to get those loose balls. We need some GRIT back with the seniors leaving. Only credited with one steal, but he must have caused at least 4-5 turnovers.

LOL. Those are my unofficial stats. I also did the video, FWIW.
He plays some tough defense; great lateral speed. Shows a toughness that I think would make him a fan favorite in Ann Arbor. Seems to have a smooth offensive game as well, he could be a really great player.
