Anquan Boldin wasn't known for his speed but he was a beast. People have forgotten that Richt/Bowden recruited Boldin as a QB out of HS (to be like the next Charlie Ward). Boldin switched to WR to get more playing time.

Boldin was occasionally used as the QB at Pahokee HS and had runs like this:

Boldin is a very physical WR that played with an edge and toughness. He was one of the top-10 WRs of the past 10 years. Harbaugh genuinely loved him for his professionalism and dedication to his craft.

If Darboh has half the career that Boldin had, Darboh will be a NFL success.

The Iowa game is inexcusable honestly. The Ohio game had some self induced ridiculousness coupled with lopsided officiating. This team had no excuse not to be in the Playoff honestly. They have 5 more draftees to go.....

injury on a play that you're not thinking for a million years is going to change all trajectories for your stud OT.

If we have Newsome, I believe we are able at a minimum to run the ball and kill the clock against Iowa. And then who knows where it goes from there.

Injuries are certainly part of the game, but what a fucking freak injury and I have to wonder if a healthy Newsome isn't the difference between that really good team and a great team. Fuck.

I think he would've made a significant difference, but the offensive line wasn't close to getting a "push" this year in big moments of big games that really mattered. They had issues against middle-tier teams.

We were rolling with a first-year quarterback with a medium/high ceiling, too.

Last year's team wasn't at a national championship level any more than the '06 team. (I think it was better than '06.) You'd have to go back to the magical year ('97).

Newsome loss may have cost us a playoff shot, but no way in hell our O-line was handling Bama or Clemson D-lines.  O-line takes time to develop, and these kids didn't have enough Harbaugh/ Drevno time to reach their full potential.

Kid definitely deserved to go in this round. Wolverines really showed up on the second day. Shame that Jake Butt hasn't been taken yet, he'll be a great get for whoever gets him, I think the worst aspect of his knee injury was it's timing.

Excited to see him with the Seahawks. Not sure how much playing time he gets this year but I'd guess Richardson will be gone after 2017 and we'll see what they do with Kearse's cap number. Plus Jimmy Graham and Luke Willson are both unrestrictred free agents after this year so wouldn't be suprised if attrition there results in reduced use of TE sets with an additional WR instead.
