Good stuff... I see a similar career to Jason Avant; productive and reliable.
Go Blue!

He's a faster Anquan Boldin. I think he can beat out Kearse and have an immediate impact in Seattle.

Anquan Boldin wasn't known for his speed but he was a beast. People have forgotten that Richt/Bowden recruited Boldin as a QB out of HS (to be like the next Charlie Ward). Boldin switched to WR to get more playing time.

Boldin was occasionally used as the QB at Pahokee HS and had runs like this:

Boldin is a very physical WR that played with an edge and toughness. He was one of the top-10 WRs of the past 10 years. Harbaugh genuinely loved him for his professionalism and dedication to his craft.
If Darboh has half the career that Boldin had, Darboh will be a NFL success.

That's some quality content right there.
If you love Boldin so much, why don't you marry him?
April 29th, 2017 at 10:42 AM ^
Well obviously he isn't a HOF receiver but their frames are almost identical and they are both physical possession types with great hands.

and raise you a Toomer - a long and steady career. Not necessarily a burner that gets on SportsCenter, but consistently catches the ball game after game for a heck of a long time.
April 29th, 2017 at 12:43 PM ^
I agree. He has the build and style of Toomer. And Chessom always reminded me of Streets.

From a Vikes fan trapped in '12' land, I approve of these additions to the hawks.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:53 PM ^
That was awesome. Too bad he's color blind.

Seattle Wolverines.
The Harbaugh to Carroll pipeline runs hot.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
what's your deal?
Big time. It was obvious that Hoke groomed Clark for greatness.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:42 PM ^
killing it now
April 28th, 2017 at 11:44 PM ^
6 picks in the first 3 rounds, second to only Bama. Not too shabby
April 28th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
That's a very good showing, all be it I would prefer more 1st than 3rd round picks.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:49 PM ^
The first rounders will come. These guys only got 2 years of Harbaugh. Just wait til guys are getting 3-4 years
Hoke recruited some serious talent during his tenure. How many of those kids come to mind as missing out on an NFL opportunity becuase of his poor player development? Hard to quantify, but have to think a bunch of guys really missed out.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
Sounds about right. We weren't all that far removed from being the second best team in the nation, and we were such a senior-laden squad.
It's great. to be.
April 29th, 2017 at 12:15 AM ^
A Michigan Wolverine! Way to go, Darboh!
April 28th, 2017 at 11:46 PM ^
This team was SO close to being one of the best in our lifetime. So effing talented. Just a few bad breaks.
April 29th, 2017 at 12:46 AM ^
The Iowa game is inexcusable honestly. The Ohio game had some self induced ridiculousness coupled with lopsided officiating. This team had no excuse not to be in the Playoff honestly. They have 5 more draftees to go.....
I still think it was all sub-par OL. If Newsome doesn't get injured and/or we get some better play from some of the other guys, that team could've won it all
injury on a play that you're not thinking for a million years is going to change all trajectories for your stud OT.
If we have Newsome, I believe we are able at a minimum to run the ball and kill the clock against Iowa. And then who knows where it goes from there.
Injuries are certainly part of the game, but what a fucking freak injury and I have to wonder if a healthy Newsome isn't the difference between that really good team and a great team. Fuck.
I think he would've made a significant difference, but the offensive line wasn't close to getting a "push" this year in big moments of big games that really mattered. They had issues against middle-tier teams.
We were rolling with a first-year quarterback with a medium/high ceiling, too.
Last year's team wasn't at a national championship level any more than the '06 team. (I think it was better than '06.) You'd have to go back to the magical year ('97).
Newsome loss may have cost us a playoff shot, but no way in hell our O-line was handling Bama or Clemson D-lines. O-line takes time to develop, and these kids didn't have enough Harbaugh/ Drevno time to reach their full potential.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:46 PM ^
Kid definitely deserved to go in this round. Wolverines really showed up on the second day. Shame that Jake Butt hasn't been taken yet, he'll be a great get for whoever gets him, I think the worst aspect of his knee injury was it's timing.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
Pete Carroll loves him some Jim Harbaugh
April 28th, 2017 at 11:48 PM ^
so much so he went for 2
(this round)
April 28th, 2017 at 11:49 PM ^
How has Butt not been drafted yet? Someone is getting an absolute STEAL. And, if Jehu isn't picked soon, I'm going to lose all respect for the NFL coaching acumen.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:54 PM ^
Because he has a torn ACL, obviously.
But he should be a lock for the 4th round. Outside of a rooting interest, hopefully Carolina or Dallas where he can learn from one of the best while he heals or the Patriots who'll use him to his fullest potential.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:57 PM ^
Jake will be taken early in the next round and Jehu is probably looking at mid to late 5th at worst. Gedeon I think may be taken a bit earlier than some of us originally thought as well.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:50 PM ^
successful career. He was one of those guys that made you proud to be a Wolverine fan.
April 28th, 2017 at 11:54 PM ^
I think he will be a solid player.
April 29th, 2017 at 12:08 AM ^
Excited to see him with the Seahawks. Not sure how much playing time he gets this year but I'd guess Richardson will be gone after 2017 and we'll see what they do with Kearse's cap number. Plus Jimmy Graham and Luke Willson are both unrestrictred free agents after this year so wouldn't be suprised if attrition there results in reduced use of TE sets with an additional WR instead.
April 29th, 2017 at 12:59 AM ^
Great franchise. Congratulations Amara and good luck !
don't mind me, I'm just reminiscing about one of my favorite childhood cartoons.
Pete and Jim were definitely rivals but you can tell they respect the hell out of each other.
Wasn't Darboh being talked about as a fringe 1st rounder after his senior bowl and workouts? What happened? So many receivers went before him.
I never saw that...and to be honest, I wouldn't agree with that at all. I do think he should've went a little higher. But fringe 1st round? Nah.
April 29th, 2017 at 11:31 AM ^
May you have a long and fruitful NFL career.
