Alternate uniform idea: 1997 Throwback
Instead of that craptastic all-Maize design from earlier, how about something else.
Michigan at PSU in 1997 was arguably the biggest game of the season since we jumped to #1 after blowing them out 34-8 and never looked back.
2017 is the 20th anniversary of that season and Team 138 is playing there this year.
Just use the uniform from that game but throw on Jordan logos-

I forgot that ABC had hyped that game (and the Nebraska "Flea Kicker" game that followed) as Judgment Day. I watched it at Yak-Zies on Diversey in Chicago, with very few sympathetic viewers. (They were mostly staring at me as I yelled at the TV, wondering why I was so invested in both games.)
Judgment Day - where Michigan was properly judged to win its game, and Nebraska improperly benefitted from an illegal play. Still salty about that half of Judgment Day.
I was at Harry Carey's for that game. My wife and I were goint to attend a work event later that night and were sitting at the bar. When Michigan scored the place erupted. I turned around to a sea of maize and blue - I had no idea there were that many Michigan fans there until that point.
They didn't have to share their national title with an undefeated PSU team that had just joined the Big Ten (1994 IIRC) and they unrightfully got to take part of ours.

Lloyd could have lobbied harder for us, but it's Phil Fulmer what done us in. All because Peyton Manning didn't get the Heisman (and fuck that guy, too, from what I read about the harrassment of the trainer at UT).

Went away from screenprinted numerals and jersey style in 2005 to this-
That maize piping was acceptable at least. Barely noticeable. Went along well with the cut of the Jersey. Was a fine touch in comparison to the adidas disaster.
And it wouldn't surprise me if that piping was structurally necessary to join the two fabrics--it went along where there was a dri-fit fabric of some kind for the side panels.
That was a common template for Nike Schools across the board. Looks like it may be present on the home ones as well (all blue of course).

Probably slightly unpopular but I like the all white road uniforms. I've never been a fan of the maize pants with the while jerseys. I actually love the maize socks with the all-white uniforms.
These classic maize & whites are definitely better than any of the all-maize uniforms I've seen, though.

We have, however, tormented the snot out of them in the maize pants with the white jerseys.

We've worn them twice in the Game - 1974 and 2016. And I'd argue that both times we did beat them, only to have the referees take it away (Lantry's FG and the 4th-down stop, respectively).

I really like the idea of the all white roadies if we lose the stripes on the side of the pants and go with just the small block M. Yeah, I know too close to Penn State, but looks damn good with the winged helmet.
I love the all white uniforms, but wouldn't mind these throwbacks for a game or two.
