better than the way the buckeyes approached The Game last year. We're doing this in tandem with ND because we have respect for the rivalry, whereas last year the buckeyes show up for The Game wearing candy apple red throwbacks all by themselves saying FTW.

I'm holding my opinion until I see one fitted on an actual player. The way shoulder pads fill out the striped area with the shortened sleeves the players wear may feel very different than the "jersey on a hanger" look we've been seeing all week.

ND's definitely look better than UM's
... but except for the shamrock on the helmet and the socks, aren't they just standard white jerseys with green numbers? If UM did that -- standard blue jerseys with maize numbers -- we'd just be wearing our standard home jerseys.
Final Verdict: ND wins the fashion contest but UM did a far better job executing the throwback concept. And, as always, we still have the better helmets!
