So, if as rumored there is a team meeting at 4, what is the point unless he has Hoke already signed? But if so, when did he even meet with him to interview him? Or was it done a long time ago?

It's gotta be Hoke today, doesn't it? Or will he actually let the recruiting process open back up on the 13th without a coach and no real clear direction???

DAMMIT!

We are the only supposedly top-tier program in the country that is obssessed wtih finding a coach that has already reached that over-the-top level of success at the FBS level. Florida just hired a DC, OSu hired a DII coach, Auburn hired a coach with a losing record, Carroll was a failed NFL coach, Stoops was a coordinator, Wisconsin/Oregon/FSU all hired coordinators.

Wait, sorry. I was wrong. Notre Dame did it our way, too. Worked out great for them, didn't it?

The bottom line is it's absurd to think that a coach who is already having monstrous levels of success will come to Michigan just because it's Michigan, even if he went there. And it's equally absurd for fans to think that ONLY someone who has had that success before can have success at Michigan. Hell, our two best coaches were a MAC coach and a dc.

There shall be no repeats of Gene Chizik here at Michigan. Whoever our next coach is will not mysteriously end up with the #1 recruiting class in the nation - after firing a coach who'd beaten his archival 6 consecutive times in favor of a coach who was 5-19 at his last stop.

Les wasn't offered. Maybe that's because he told Brandon there was no way he was leaving BR, maybe it's because Brandon told him there was no way he was coming to A2. Maybe that's why the meeting got pushed up, so they could get the show over with. LSU's recruiting may have started to suffer and LM said, "Let's get this done." whatever. I just don't believe that LM would intimate TWICE that he wanted the job and then turned it down.

I don't have the faintest idea what Brandon has planned and I'll be bummed if it's Hoke if only because this could have been sewn up last week. But I just feel like hiring Miles must not have been a priority for DB.

That's what I'm telling myself anyway.
