nicoleauerbach Rodriguez asked if a WR might move to secondary, answer: only defensive guys being shuffled around

chengelis UM scrimmage Saturday will be first on new turf at Michigan stadium

michdailysports Rodriguez: the team knows Troy Woolfolk will bounce back

MVictors RichRod: is more of the offense in? "Not yet, kept it simple". "Slowed the installation down this week."

nicoleauerbach RR: all three (quarterbacks) are getting equal reps. Won't say who's taking snaps with first team, second team, Etc.

michdailysports Rodriguez: quarterbacks haven't been live, won't be on Saturday during the scrimmage.

MVictors Quaterbacks won't be live Saturday. RR only goes live with QBs if they are handling the ball poorly

MVictors Tate is responding to the challenge. He's bigger and stronger.

michdailysports Is it possible Devin Gardner could start? "Possibly."

BKudron I sincerely hope people don't take RR's "It's possible Devin could start" comment like last year's "It's possible Sheridan could start"...

michdailysports Rodriguez: pleased with Obi Ezeh, Jonas Mouton has been a little banged up, but both have taken ownership of team.

michdailysports Rodriguez: the team likes to work. No one's late for meetings, practice.

PeterCBigelow At offensive tackle, Rich Rodriguez really pleased with Mark Huyge and Perry Dorrestein.

nicoleauerbach Will know Shaw's eligibility in a week when grades come out.

varsityblue Sounds like Dorrestein and Huyge are still ahead in the competition at tackle.

varsityblue No other big news out of Rich Rod today. Full recap on mgoblog in a few. Basketball stuff will probably be for tomorrow morning.

Am I wrong for hoping Perry D is not a starting tackle this year?? I keep having vivid memories of him getting smoked on pass protection last year.

Lewan has to get that left tackle spot so Huyge can stay at RT.

You can only judge a player so much by how good he was last year.  Remember, last year Dorrestein may have struggled a bit, but Lewan was playing against high schoolers.  The coaches get to see them all against each other, and if Huyge and Dorrestein are the two best, I hope they play.
