All time Frozen Four Bracket Voting

Submitted by Michigan Arrogance on

NCAA.com is hosting a voting bracket for the all time Frozen Four Champion.

Today, the 1956 M team is facing the 1985 RPI team, which is a bad match up IMO. I voted with my head (the RPI '85 team), but can't blame you for voting with your hearts (MICHIGAN).

Right now, M is down 73-27%.

AFAIK, all voting is via twitter:

VOTE now – Use #RPI85 for @RPIAthletics or #Michigan56 for @umichhockey. Votes must be user-initiated. RT don’t count pic.twitter.com/QNOG9hDApe

they were the best team I've ever seen, except for maybe the 95-97 M teams (who aren't in the bracket- a big oversight IMO) and the Maine 91-93 teams. Maybe the Dryden Cornell teams, but I never saw them play myself.

The 85 RPI team had several NHLers including Darren Puppa (G), John Carter (RW) and eventual HOFer Adam Oates. That team was dominant.

I was told that Cornell's 1967 NCAA champion team with Dryden in goal was better than his frozen-four 1968 and 1969 teams and even the undefeated and untied 1970 NCAA champs. Those were the best college teams I've seen personally. I remember Dryden standing in front of his goal for long stretches, just leaning on his stick and resting his chin on his gloves.

Wolverine goalie Lorne Howes registered 46 saves in the final to earn tournament Most Outstanding Player honors.

Voted for Michigan but mainly because of other people named Lorne doing good work. We need to stick together, man.

I can't vote cause I really don't know anything...

this thread got me thinking of back to back trips to minnesota and buffalo for two of the toughest loses I have ever witnessed live...

my god I would love to see us win a  championship in hockey.

I also witnessed the unpleasantness in Denver. Hoping to see better rusults in Boston. I did see that RPI team play in New Haven long ago. They were really good.
