I've always thought coches was a more valuable poll. They know who they need to scheme against. Media always has their biases.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
So what does that mean? Is there an overall list? My assumption would be that what we hear reported by the media all the time is the media poll. True or no?

Molk makes 1st-team All-Big Ten on the coaches' but not the media vote.

Off topic for this thread but really dont want to start a new one, but just heard Brad Edwards say that there is an above average chance Michigan does not make a bcs bowl game. I know the scenarios have been posted, but just wanted to share what i heard. Its kind of confusing bc he still projected Michigan in the Sugar Bowl.

That will be a tough pill to swallow with the sucess the team has had. All there is left to do is cheer and hope for the best.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:54 PM ^
This just in, he said he was joking.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:40 PM ^
Russell Wilson and Montee Ball are pretty impressive guys. They carry themselves well and are well spoken.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:48 PM ^
No wolverines on 1st team D-Line, Still, Mercilus, and Worthy in both polls.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
I thought most of the B1G was 4-3. Why not do four linemen?
November 28th, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
They did pick 4, those were just the 3 players who were selected 1st team in both polls.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:53 PM ^
I'd love to know the full list. Can't get to a TV right now.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
John Simon (OSU) and Kawann Short (PUR) split.
LBs Lavte David, Chris Borland, (both polls), Mike Taylor and Gerald Hodges split the final spot.
DBs Alfonzo Dennard in both, then johnny Adams, Shaun Prater and Aaron Henry in the coaches. Antonio Fenelus, Trenton Robinson, and Brian Peters in the media.

The Neb D really didnt look very good a couple weeks ago. In fact they got lit up by a lot of teams. Northwestern, OSU and us to mention a few.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
Weird to see so many Wisconsin players on the 1st team defense, but I guess that's what happens when you play so many poor offenses.
November 28th, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
Jerel Worthy had like 25 tackles and hes an all-conference d-lineman?
November 28th, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
He had 4 belly to back suplexes and a power bomb though. Not to mention neck snap and dick grab.

Devin Still sure seemed excited to win that DL of the Year award.

Taylor Lewan Second Team tackle
November 28th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
Not even close. Media got it right, coaches got it wrong.
November 29th, 2011 at 10:01 AM ^
that the coaches picked Cousins ahead of Denard.
Name one coach in the B1G who gameplans more for Cousins than Denard. Right...

Safe to say this guy is an Airhead

Mike Martin makes 2nd team in both polls
November 28th, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
TOM did it! Second teamer. Great work Tom.
November 28th, 2011 at 8:07 PM ^
get a Kovacs????
November 28th, 2011 at 8:11 PM ^
Kovacs left off from either media or coaches. This is probably the snub I most disagree with. He played lights out. Is an absolutely amazing open field tackler and gave Qbs and Rbs hell.
November 28th, 2011 at 8:09 PM ^
No problems with these lists. Michigan is a great team of hard working guys, but not a lot of individual stars.
November 28th, 2011 at 8:18 PM ^
Agree, this was the epitome of a team this year.
November 28th, 2011 at 8:15 PM ^
I think Mike Martin would've made 1st team had he not started a bit slow. In the middle to end stretch of games he was The Hulk. Ohio's offense with Miller was tough for the DLine to handle for long stretches Saturday.

Molk wins Top OL in the big ten Congrats! Rimington-Pace award.
