He's gonna be a good one here. Something about that name just sounds like a Michigan QB that will win B1G championships.

So our offensive coordinator watched 10 to 12 guys throw all over the country and decided that Malzone was worthy of an offer?

No thanks, don't want, five stars only plz.

Understood the sarcasm, and didn't downvote (who would, jebus), but there's probably a little more to it than that.  Nuss surely talked to each, probably had an idea where Michigan stood with all of them.  There may have been some he liked more, but knew that the chances of landing them were something less than 100%.  If he liked Malzone enough for an offer, but still maybe just a little bit less than some other kids, it might make sense to go ahead and bring him in.  Bird in the hand and all that, and an in-state kid.  Plus, Michigan's understood the value of having a QB commit as soon as possible, to help bring in other kids.  Malzone may not be glamour QB like Morris and Speight (at least in terms of AA team and camp invites), but if he's a leader he'll start recruiting as much as he can.

It's almost like Nuss was chasing the more popular beautiful girls in town when, right there all along, was the perfect girl for him living right next door. Nuss + Malzone = Taylor Swift
