Or just post here. I just can't believe the original one is about to be page 3 on MGoBoard with all these posts on a non-game Saturday, with these weak games today. And there's still on hour till kickoff! Guess you can post things too early, but then we had bowl game threads, Rose Bowl threads, and Sugar Bowl threads yesterday, so, whatever.
Been a busy day for MGoBlog...

Annexation of Puerto Rico. Book it.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:30 AM ^
...to sell it.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:25 AM ^
Hate to say it, but with 14 players down (likely because of it) Dantonio is calling an innovative game. I'm sure he will become vanilla again, next year, but this is solid for State.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:28 AM ^
They've also had essentially no mistakes after that first drive and only one or two real drops I can remember. Innovation (relative that is) plus no mistakes equals a good game. Still, Tech should be winning this game.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:34 AM ^
With our luck, we would have the RB throw a pick in the endzone, and the fake FG end in a turnover

C'Mon, Jinx God
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:34 AM ^
Given the weapons they have on offense and the way they are opening up their offense tonight they could be dangerous if Dantonio is willing to be this creative. Cousins is not "fast" but he can scramble, they have 2 good running backs, and Dell, Cunningham, and Keyshawn back.

One of the announcers mentioned that Blair White was about all that MSU loses to graduation/departure. I hope junior LB Greg Jones goes pro. Here's a 2nd round projectin for him.

LB - Brandon Densen ?
not being rude, just wondering
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 AM ^
Can't say that I'm an expert on MSU personnel.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:32 AM ^
I wonder how losing 3 O-Linemen is considered unimportant. Then again, I guess I'm just presuming that there is some sort of logic coming from a commentator. Bad idea.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:35 AM ^
What's the deal with the seniors who aren't listed in gray (Anderson, Denson and War)? Are they RS juniors or did you leave them out by accident?
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:43 AM ^
I'm not sure that these are listed by elgibility.
I hope they're done, but I'm not sure. Why would they care?
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:33 AM ^
Does Potts coming out = TT staff being extremely conservative to injuries, due to the James incident?
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:35 AM ^
Looks like Leach's absence has hurt Tech more than the missing Sparty players. It hasn't hurt Sparty that the refs seem to be making up for all the bad calls against Michigan many years ago.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:35 AM ^
WOW what a catch!
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:42 AM ^
quite the vertical on that guy
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:38 AM ^
TRONNNN!
I'm sorry, is the game still on or something?
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:39 AM ^
Oh baby. Touchdown TT. Please no comeback drive here.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:42 AM ^
pick 6 would be nice, I would hit my parlay and make some loot.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 AM ^
good call
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:42 AM ^
I see another reason why Leach was fired - he clearly deprived Sheffield of food.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:43 AM ^
is very fitting
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:42 AM ^
Good grief. TT has 28 first downs to MSU's 13. It's unreal that this game is close.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 AM ^
was going to happen. Man the way these guys jump on Tech my god some could make the basketball team!
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 AM ^
Sparty NOOOOOOOOOOOO
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:46 AM ^
Sparty NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:52 AM ^
MSU is using its timeouts too early. They may pay for it if TT scores a touchdown.
EDIT: ugh, another lucky break for Sparty - the TT receiver just plain muffs it.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:54 AM ^
The 40 seconds saved is 40 seconds saved. Lloyd used to do it. But it's not that improbable that MSU might find itself wanting the clock to go faster.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:01 AM ^
I agree with the principle of calling timeouts on defense, but I don't think you should do it with over four minutes left. That's too early.
And now they're screwed. Even if they score within 30 seconds, they won't be able to get the ball back without an onside kick.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:52 AM ^
does he ever. although I would say he conducted an on-air interview for the Tech job tonight.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 AM ^
job is stupid.
Um, is it just me, or is it unusual for coaches to go with what they think is most likely to win.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:09 AM ^
that's a novel concept you've got there.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:54 AM ^
Wow. Lots of confidence in that receiver. Great way to redeem himself after the drop on 3rd for the first down.
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:58 AM ^
I wonder what spread TT's coach got on the game... LOL
January 3rd, 2010 at 12:58 AM ^
Why is TT not running the ball and the clock? seriously end the game
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:01 AM ^
that would be a game-ender
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 AM ^
clutch catch . great throw.
EDIT: annnnndndddd touchdown! do not care about the B10 bowl record at this very moment
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:01 AM ^
Ballsy. This is fantastic.
Edit: Insult to injury. Completely demoralized on that last play, can't stop a run up the gut. Cya Sparty.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 AM ^
Texas Tech.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:03 AM ^
3 x 40 seconds is 2 minutes. It wouldn't take much in-play action to run out the other 8 seconds.
Now State has a small chance for a score, on-sides kick, & another score.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:06 AM ^
When they got the 1st down, I thought they should let them score. You can't win without the ball. Letting a team score to get the ball back is a strategy that they fail to utilize too often.
Still, I'm glad they covered. :-)
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:00 AM ^
Did MSU rip their defense out of NCAA 10? Becuase the only thing they run is Cover 2 and 4. Sometimes they get wild and rush 5.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:07 AM ^
If you didn't know any better, you'd never guess Dantonio was an old defensive coach. All three years he's been there, his offenses have been much better than his defenses.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:01 AM ^
Looks like Couch Burning 305: Advanced Methods is going to pay off for some sparty alums tonight. Hope they don't burn down the Advanced Institute for Brahsearch.
January 3rd, 2010 at 1:01 AM ^
If MSU had won after OSU had won to start 2010, I'd start wondering what was going to go wrong next with Michigan Football.
What my prediction was going to be? Scurvy.
