Alamo Bowl Open Thread

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

In the spirit of creating these threads ridiculously early, I present to the MGoPublic the Valero Alamo Bowl Open Thread. Remember, gas is a few cents cheaper at the Valero station....in Canton.

Anyhow, it's Washington (7-5) versus RGIII and Baylor (9-3) in a Pac-12 / Big 12 matchup.

ESPN at 9 PM, immediately following the sudden fun that seriously is the Champs Sports Bowl.

I apparently have Baylor in this one. It might have been the fact that I was about five Hacker-Pschorrs in when I made the picks, but I have confidence in RGIII's ability to rule this game.

Did anyone actually pick against Baylor?  Has anyone watched them over the course of the season as I have?  They may be lacking a great defense, but overall they're a pretty darn good football team.  RGIII is a beast, I thorougly enjoy watching him play the game (I'm very bias as I'm a former 400 hurdler myself), damn near as much as I enjoy watching Denard.

Might make this more interesting than the line thought it would be.

<br>Is it slowly looking like EVERYONE who "should" be in the Sugar Bowl instead of VT isn't really that good? (Other than Boise)

and my Bears are down 11. Not an auspicious start. Let's see that second-half open-playbook rich-moneybags-old-guard-Heisman-stock-quarter-back-man-ball-Heis-man Robert Griffin III can uncork some dat ole timey magic.

Could not be more perfect; spielman was talking about the TD run and saying, "watch this great angle..." just as the cameras were showing the cheerleaders from below, practically looking up their skirts.
