Forever miss him and his most badass goalie mask in history

Except for that one time he completely blew it against Minnesota in the Frozen Four...

Eh he let in a soft goal in OT but ai wouldn't put that loss on him. I have worse memories of losing to Notre Dame in OT at like 2 am in 2008.

It reminds me of the Panther mask wore by Vanbiesbrouck...

Went to the game. Datsyuk is still worth the price of admission each and every night. Mrazek wasn't challenged much, although he made his standard couple of amazing saves. When your goalie gets a shutout and doesn't get first star, you know someone has had an amazing game.

Montoya's had a star-crossed professional career. He looked to be the goalie of the future for the Rangers when drafted 6th overall in 2004. But Henrik Lundqvist (the 205th overall pick in 2000) came out of nowhere in 2005-06 and put a stranglehold on the starting gig (which has worked out well for him and the team), making Montoya expendable (he never even donned a Rangers jersey--he was with their AHL affiliate in Hartford). Bounced around to Phoenix, NY Islanders, and the Jets before making his current stop in Florida. It's a bummer his career hasn't panned out as many of us who went to games at Yost a decade-plus ago thought it would.
