that he went on about how UM is "it" made me feel better about this staff. RR seemed to be thrilled to 'upgrade' - borges seems to be enough of a student of the game to know what it means to be coaching at Michigan etc etc etc

"We've got wide receivers galore."

I wonder if this line of thinking led to the disaster that was the non-recruitment of Devin Lucien. I like this staff and am optimistic, but when a 4-star talent is throwing himself at you and you have less than ten guys wrapped up in the class two weeks before signing day, please take him.

Another thought: What's going to happen to the Terrance Robinsons, Jeremy Gallons, and Kelvin Gradys? We already had a logjam at slot receiver. Now that position may go away.

I had the same thought re: "WRs  galore" and Lucien, and the move to an offense that emplyoys a TE instead of a 4th receiver. Hopefully they allocate his position to a D-lineman and are actually able to fill it with a talented recruit. It'll be interesting to see if we get back in on Lucien if the coaching staff determines that we won't be able to otherwise fill the slot.

Inside PressBox March 29, 2009: Ravens Defensive Coordinator Greg Mattison from PressBox on Vimeo.

Yeah, this isn't an interview from Michigan. It is when he was with the ravens. But it's cool the way he talks about the defense. Back in the Carr days, the Michigan defense and ONLY the Michigan defense players and staff met at Schembechler Hall on Thursday nights before games and did some crazy chants/team rituals, whatever you want to call it.  I feel like he will bring that unity back to the defense. And he is also so well spoken and I'm sure that and his years of experience will help with recruiting.

Is it just me or do Borges and Mattison look alike?

The new staff may be too much for homophobes to handle. First, at his introductory press conference, BH is talking about touching thousands of young men, now AB is talking about "lovin' em up and getting hard on them".

I'm not trying to be an ass, but dude seriously needs to lose some weight.  I'd like all of our coaches to be healthy enough to do their jobs for a while, ya know?

Borges has a nice presence.  One good thing about older coaches, is that they know what they're doing.  He's gonna be really good for the O players.
