Score predictions were already posted; let’s have some fun with individual results. To start:
* Derrick Green breaks free for a 50+ yard run
* Jehu Chesson has over 70 yards receiving
What are yours?
1. Jake Butt TD catch.
2. Funchess executes a flawless combo block with Schofield, and also darts to the second level to pick off Akron's MLB on the same play, thus springing Fitz for a long TD run.
Jake Butt catches his first TD pass....from Shane Morris.
This is why we need a pre-game snowflakes thread.
what's a snowflakes thread?
Are unique and need their own thread....special "snowflakes". The snowball threads just lump those potential individual topics into one big thread.
big day for the d-line.
Michigan plays so damned good, the starters head for the sideline!
I will be tired, so tired, of hearing about Alabama/Nick Saban/Johnny Manziel or anything else associated with that game before it even kicks off.
But I am already there man.
-Fitz runs hard today for over 100
-Chesson has his first TD
-Green shows some flashes of why he was the #1 RB in America
-Clark gets his first sack
-Gardner has his first pick-free game, is sitting by the start of the 4th after throwing for over 250 yds and running for another 70-80, and Shane gets a lot of quality snaps today.
then runs over to the Akron sideline and adds Terry Bowden for good measure.
==> which earns him a personal foul
==> and a stern point from Hoke
I predict Derrick Green is not tackled (at all) and rushes for 160 yards -- on six carries.
starting at WDE, QB and kicker instead of playing RB
Shane Morris, Derrick Green, and Jake Butt coming out party today...
2 tfl, 1 forced fumble, and maybe a pick 6
Gardner plays well; exits halfway through the 3rd quarter. Fitz gets around 120; Green gets around 70, Smith gets 40-50; Rawls 25-30; 66-13.
Shane Morris gets a receiving TD
Very bold. I like it.
Norfleet returns kickoff or punt for TD.
1 each, please.
Plays aggressive. Pitches the 59-0 shutout.
Hoke points at everything, the world rejoices.
DeVeon Smith has a big game. Maybe 60-70 yards rushing.
Chesson, who has not caught a single pass yet, catches 4-5 of them.
Toussaint goes for 140-150. Coaching staff makes a concerted effort to get him going today to develop confidence.
Taco eats a live kangaroo.
- I am going to guess that Gardner gets over 200 yards in the air before he comes out in favor of Morris.
- Over 50 yards for at least four RBs. I'll go with with Toussaint, Green, Smith and Rawls
- Norfleet has over 100 yards of return yardage.
- At least four sacks. I'll guess Frank Clark gets two of them.
I will say this - next week, we may try to either combine the content of this thread into a pre-game snowflakes thread on GameDay, or the prediction thread (which shows up earlier typically) will need to make room for game and individual achievements. MGoBloggers, take note.
Michigan fans fall asleep on their couches by the fourth quarter. A nice little nap before TAMU/Bama.
Gibbons misses a field goal.
I mean, its' bound to happen sooner or later; I'd prefer it to happen today instead of, say, the Ohio State game.
We have a winner!
Norfleet houses at least one return, probably on a punt.
I feel like this is predicted every week. However, this is the week it happens!
by Hoke. 180 yds, 3TDs.
less than 5000 students... the student section is looking sparse...
Wow, that student section is brutal. Yikes!
Alright, I'll contribute to this:
DeVeon Smith has a carry like the one in his high school tape.
Also, everyone Wang Chung tonight.
what a sloppy half of football
We win by 4 points after a desperate goal line stand.
(Oh wait...no one in their right mind would have predicted that.)
