AJ Dillon to BC chatter

Submitted by amir_6 on

Been hearing some rumors about AJ Dillon possibly flipping to Boston College, could this mean anything about our situation with Najee? I guess we'll see.

*edit* 3 crystal ball flips for AJ Dillon to flip to BC in the last 5 minutes...

Yeah Harbaugh doesn't seem the type to tell a kid in high school exactly where it is he will play. You get the kid on campus and you find where he's at his best and where he helps the team the most. Could be LB, could be RB.... hell, could be both. We've seen it with multiple players at literally every single position.

then I hope he enjoys playing in front of sparse crowds at a middling ACC program instead of a contender every year in front of 110,000+ fans.

I hope he stays with us because he might be a good fullback candidate, good luck to him whatever he decides.

True, but I HIGHLY doubt Harbaugh told the kid he isn't going to be a running back... that's really something that Harbaugh would let play out on the field. Sure, Harbaugh would also rep the kid at FB and LB. But he'd also give the kid his shot to prove his worth at RB. This is a meritocracy afterall.

2 of the ballz seem to be coming from Fishaw? Must be some sort of glitch to get two ballz..

Regardless, this surprises me. He just posted a photo a few days ago in a UM jersey with his mother.

If you think Fishaw shouldn't have a crystal ball then should Ace/Brian? Both essentially do similiar things in terms of taking information from multiple people and then coming up with their own opinions based off the collective of everyone else. I personally don't care who does or doesn't have a crystal ball pick, I'd rather just hear it straight from the Sam, Steve, or any of the other "insiders."

Just posted this in the ballz thread at the exact same time...looks like a lot of smoke.

Anyone know how he compares to Kurt Taylor? They seem to be the more physical back while Samuels seems to be the APB.

Crazy that there has been rumors, some to be taken seriously, some 100% speculation on all 3 of the RBs.

I know we got Kareem Walker, Kingston Davis (for now?), and Chris Evans...but we need to continue to stock up. Especially with Isaac (5th year) and Johnson (injury) both kind of up in the air.

Dillon seems like a significantly better prospect to me, though. He's obviously bigger but also looks to have better balance and seems much harder to bring down than Taylor does. I've only seen highlight tapes for both, but the preference for Taylor over Dillon that the staff appears to have is baffling to me.
