Virginia | #13UCLA | 3:30 PM | FOX | Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA |
BYU | Nebraska | 3:30 PM |
|
Memorial Stadium , Lincoln, NE |
#15Arizona State | Texas A&M | 7:00 PM |

Not including PSU/Temple, no reason to watch that game with these three 3:30 matchups.
Left the ND/Texas and Wisconsin/Bama games for the "Night Games" thread.

So caveats:
1) I'm super biased, obviously.
2) I haven't watched a ton of UCLA or Auburn's games because I'm focused on our future opponents.
But it seems to me like Utah played the best game I've seen this weekend. Entirely possible that's wishful thinking, But they seemed really crisp.
September 5th, 2015 at 5:51 PM ^
They got 7 points on defense. Other than that...we held them in check for the most part.
That's why I don't get the "world is ending" mantra around here. There were some REALLY encouraging things on Thursday. It's still a loss and it still sucks.
But if you change Utah to ND or Oklahoma. People would be like "hmmm, not too bad."

5 rushes 37 yards and 2 TD's
Impressive

Thankfully we have a couple of games to improve before we face them. While BYU looks scary as hell, I'm glad that we have them before conference play as a last minute tune-up. Better than a tomato can or a cupcake, that's for sure.

Screw conference pride..Go Temple!

I'm glad to not be the only one. I just don't get the whole conference pride thing. I don't care. What do I care about? Michigan victories. I hate MSU and OSU, so why would I want them to win? Fuck that and fuck them. I'm so sick of their being good. I cannot wait for the time that Jim has this program corrected.
September 5th, 2015 at 5:51 PM ^
I love when the conf loses - if we go 12-0 in future doesnt matter what conf does. OSU went to playoffs 11-1 with a shit conf with 1 other good team in it (msu) and 1 above ave team (wisc)
I hope everyone sucks and we pile up wins :)

Tied 10-10, Hackenberg with just 59 yards passing midway through the 3rd

Hackenberg's people trying to remind everyone he's was supposed to be a NFL franchise QB coming out of high school
September 5th, 2015 at 5:53 PM ^
Consider me guilty on that front. Wow 6/16 with 3.6 ypa. Damn sad! Thats Kevin Hogan territory!
September 5th, 2015 at 5:56 PM ^
This was supposed to be the year.
It's about time to shut the books on Hackenburg. Rudock had 1 game and he's caused a freakout...Hackenburg has had 2.5 years to prove he's the best QB in the country.

Happy Valley. So much for #Hackenberg4Heisman.
September 5th, 2015 at 5:52 PM ^
People forgot how awful their offensive line was and ignored the potential for QBPTSD with Hackenberg.
September 5th, 2015 at 5:57 PM ^
Kind of feel bad for him...
Why doesn't his idiot OC go to a short/quick passing game and stop with the 5 and 7 step NFL drops and progressions?
September 5th, 2015 at 5:54 PM ^
His o-line has gotten him absolutely killed and its only against Temple.

They are the inverse of UM OL
They have 20 rushes for 100 yds - so they can run block. They cant pass block. Total inverse of us!

Neb punter ankle obliterated
September 5th, 2015 at 5:56 PM ^
Ouch. NEB punter's ankle or leg might be broken.
September 5th, 2015 at 6:18 PM ^
From the looks of it, they might have really needed a good punter this year.

Indiana losing to FCS Southern Illinois by 11 at home. They have been held to under 120 rush yards, and have allowed almost 400 yards of offense.
Southern Illinois isn't even receiving any votes in the FCS rankings. It would be one thing if it was someone in top-25 but.......yeesh.
Hope PJ Fleck doesn't end up at Indiana. That would only make the division even tougher.
September 5th, 2015 at 6:01 PM ^
But I'd welcome PJ Fleck in our conference. He'd only make the B1G better, and the conference as a whole needs to catch up.

At least Purdue is in the west... if they improve a bit they could have an outside shot at some point. Indiana is never, ever going to be better than OSU, PSU, MSU and us in the same year.

Back in the game.

Hill had what looked like a huge gain but under throws and gets INT. 43 yard return.Huge for Neb.

Temple punted to PSU who takes over at their 20 yard line. 1:28 left in the 3rd.
September 5th, 2015 at 6:03 PM ^
On a Hackenberg interception, Temple is set up inside the PSU 5 yardline.
