Not including PSU/Temple, no reason to watch that game with these three 3:30 matchups.

Left the ND/Texas and Wisconsin/Bama games for the "Night Games" thread.

Makes me wonder that if Michigan continues to struggle with man blocking, would the staff switch to a more zone based scheme? I know the O-line had success with it last year

Well, BYU looks like shit on defense. I know, I know..."it's the first game of the season." Hopefully they will continue to look like shit when they come to Ann Arbor and MORE hopefully our quarterback play is better.

BYU will be pretty beat up by the time we play them.

Brutal nonconference schedule.

Should be playing them at noon as well.

We should be seeking every advantage possible.   Hell look at the large majority of these teams playing nobodies in the nonconference.  They have no shame in that.

I was told by several people after predicting us to lose to BYU that they are garbage and that there's no way we lose to them. 14-14 vs Nebraska and Taysom Hill looks dangerous so far.

Those ppl are clueless.

It's a no win situation game much like Utah. If you win everyone who is a casual football fan expects it - if you lose, you get people upset about it.   We just screwed up by playing them a year too early.  Next year's BYU would be a tastier fare.

I am a die hard fan and bleed blue, however, while I know Harbaugh will get us back in time there is not a gimme on the schedule. Maybe UNLV.

Until we demonstrate a consistent, effective offense that can score a lot of points, every opponent is a legitimate and serious challenge.

UNLV is bad. Oregon State is not much better.  I do expect both those to be easy wins.  Oregon State lost its whole bad defense from last year.  9 new starters.  They are transitioning from pro style to spread ala rich rod in 2008. With a true freshman Qb.  Our defense should dominate them and we should have a lot of ball control. They dont have much talent.

All this assumes rudock doesnt average 3 INT a game.

On paper you are probably correct, but, on paper the stats said Rudock did not turn ball over.

I have to see offensive improvement, if they do, yes, we should win the games you mention, but, we have not improved on offense yet.

I felt the team looked better and was prepared better than I have seen in a long time.

That being said, we have not proven we have an O yet. I hope with all my heart we do, and soon.

Both Qbs playing well in BYU-Neb.  The surprise is Tommy Armstrong who looks like a completely diff player this year.  Kudos to their OC who accomplished what Borges failed to do.
