Go Minnesota! Also, Northwestern up 23-20 with 6 minutes left against MSU.
to play football, not to play trumpet
Have to say the fact that the SEC has 6 teams in the top 10 is a joke based on Georgia and South Carolina's performances today.
MSU sure took their time getting that punt off. Nearly 30 seconds off the play clock.
Doesn't look like there are many good afternoon games failing a surprising effort by Minnesota or Wake
Really dumb decision on Dantonio's part. 3:00 to go in the fourth is not an acceptable time to punt. All Northwestern is looking to do is run out the clock after a first down, where they are on the field doesn't matter.
Get a first down NW.
really NW.....Sieman instead of Colter when 1 First down might win the game...
MSU just punted down with 3 with 3 minutes. Big TEEHENNN!!!!
Lol "9 chances out of 10 win it" if NW gets a first down.
Yeah, remember last week?
AND SPARTY NOOOO!!
Wow that is cheap. But great.
smart PI. cheaterzlol
Adams....lol, wow. poor guy cant get a call his way.
On he flipside, lol MSU
That was an obvious PI.
I love the Dantonio scowl when they're losing. Such a glorious face.
I'd say Sparty, no! but really it's pretty much expected at this point. God-mode enabled from the NW backup QB once again.
lol "Fuck that" -Mark Antoni
Youre right, they do have no D right now...
How do you not even have Colter in the game? He is your best receiver as well anyway.
I need a laugh...so time for a little rcmb reading.
I don't get the Fitzgerald love.
I am confuse, Fitz. This is why you lose games in the 4th quarter.
Good thing Fitz kept throwing and kept Colter out of the game.
is all about approaching very simple problems with extremely complicated strategies
AND SPARTY NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
This was such a hard game for me to predict a winner. Both of these teams love losing games that they should win.
Fitz' angst is making me angst.
NU or MSU?
Im gonna say go Ohio (and Minnesota). Beating undefeated Ohio in Columbus would be awesome
Sparty goes out with a whimper.
sparty no doesn't even begin to explain that play
Thank you Sparty, that was very entertaining indeed
The Great Dantonio is now 5-6.
That's a fumble. But whatever. Same result. Bell is going to blow up Twitter tonight.
Can't wait to see Bell's tweets after the game.
Referees 23, MSU 20
Oh how great would it be if Minny beats MSU at home next week to shut Sparty out of a bowl game.
How do you go winless at home? That's hilarious.
wow this is just so awesome.
Why didn't Pat Fitzgerald jump up and down on that PI call against Sparty earlier?
Well Jacksonville St, Wofford, and Georgia Southern all feel apart at the end. Still funny, though.
And did the announcers just seriously call Spartan fans dedicated and used to seeing 10-11 win teams? What? He must have just gotten into the business two years ago.
/Dean of Disciplined
LOL, RE: Sparty "A fanbase that's as dedicated as there is in the Big Ten"
Which is why their tickets are going for $3
That pass interference non-call on their last drive was horrendous... the refs are fucking blind, as usual. Happy they lost anyhow.
Gophers next week
RCMB is hilarious! They really think that there is a conspiracy against them...LOL.
Interesting how the commentators have to mention 13 billion times every week that every Sparty loss is by a couple points or less. Growing up, it seemed every one of our losses was by 3 points or less every year. I never remember it being mentioned to this extreme by the media.
Oh well. Thanks for beating them, Northwestern.
I doubt the media ever had as many opportunities to mention it, unless you're old enough to have been growing up in '67.
I can't believe how far the rose bowl is from UCLA. It's almost like if Michigan played at Ford Field
Wow there's a lot of USC fans in there. Is that some kind of agreement they have or are there just no UCLA football fans?
its rough when your home stadium is a 30 minute drive from campus.
also, usc rules that city. but maybe not for long, given how this game is going.
Anybody in Chicagoland know if the Wisco-OSU game is on tv? The "regional coverage" of ESPN2 is showing NC State-Clemson instead. Thanks ESPN!
its on ABC, WLS channel 7.
regular reverse mirror deal with big ten.
You are a gentleman and a scholar.
score more than 3 points?
Can BC hold on?
A red, out-of-focus balloon just floated lazily in front of the camera in Memorial Stadium. It still looks better than the art-film production of the Michigan game.
that fg was good?
Is it fair to say that not only does the SEC play good D but they also play terrible O in general? Right now:
#5 Georgia has only scored 23 on GA Southern in the 3rd
#6 Florida has only scored 23 on Jacksonville State which includes a defensive TD in the 4th
and #9 South Carolina has only scored 24 on Wofford which also includes a defensive TD (in the 4th)
Also, FLorida only managed 27 against ULL with the help of a special teams TD. Bad, bad offenses
The Big Ten Pass O is terrible. Look at all the Pass D rankings for the big ten. Everyteam has inflated pass D b/c of inept offenses. I think Big Ten teams will get exposed come bowl time b.c of this. Team will just stuff the run and shut them all down. Every SEC bowl opponent is capable. Rose Bowl as always will be tough
I think you might of posted too soon re: Georgia. Their offense is looking good, 38 now, still in the third.
Also keep in mind that all 3 of these teams have huge in-state rivalry games next week, so the offense was probably pretty bland as designed.
Might be some openings with Gardner...
double move burned an OSU CB already and we know Gallon is money on that.
UM has to find a running game to keep OSU honest. Gotta find a way to get Denard reps at RB with Gardner at QB. I'm sure OSU will sell out when Drob is at QB for the run.
Which would make QB Oh Noes phenomenally successful. Nice thing about QB Oh Noes is that if the safeties bite, all you have to do is float a wounded duck over the LBs and let Roundtree run under it.
Borges also never runs true QB oh noes too.
I think Gardner passing will be fine. The RB will be the problem. Gotta get create with Denard as a RB and sprinky inverted veers.
Yeah two main ways to burn defenses keying in on a mobile QB, QB Oh Noes and bubble screens, are plays which Borges refuses to run.
How do you punt from the opponents 30 yard line? Of course it goes into the end zone for a net 10 yards.
Man, there's a ton going on on Minnesota's jerseys above the front numbers. Thick collar, block M, B1G patch, Nike logo, memorial patch.
Am I the only one getting Purdue-Illinois instead of Nebraska? I hate living in Indiana.
Well, looks like Nebraska is going to win this easily. Guess it comes down to Iowa next week.
initial gameplan not working. Urban will have wrinkles though.
Interesting to watch the Wisc O vs OSU D.
OSU is selling out on the run, just like I think they will vs. UM. Even with Gardner at QB. I think Gardner will have every opportunitiy to make things happen with his arm.
2 things matter hugely next week....interior Oline play as usual and the DT's have to be much better than they were today.
At worst we have to stalemate the buckeyes Oline and hope our Oline can hold up.
Wow. USC misses a handful of tackles and goes for a strip for some reason and UCLA picks up a 3rd and 13 that should have gone for about 3 yards. Trojans looking dispirited. I'm starting to think that Lane Kiffin isn't a good motivator.
Yeah, it looks like footballs aren't the only thing that Kiffin can deflate.
with how they're playing now.
USC's defense = sieve
At home with that offense they can definitely beat ND.
They better. The only time I root for USC is when they play Notre Dame. And I need them to keep ND out of the title hunt. (God, how weird it feels to even type that sentence.)
ND vs. USC. Meteorite game.
Say this for USC, once their defense gets a stop they can be explosive on offense. But that defense looks horrendous.
Good use of a timeout by Pellini. If he doesn't want to go for the field goal he gets the opportunity to revise his decision. If he does want to kick the FG, he gives Minny reason to think about the fake, which reduces the chances of a block on a low-trajectory long FG attempt.
RCMB is in fire right now with comedy and angry rants. If you're bored, check it out for a chuckle.
Erin Andrews just said that he was having surgery on "that broken leg".
The signs Mississippi's using to signal plays in the no-huddle offense are all corporate logos: Taco Bell, ESPN....
New revenue source?
I just spent the last 20 minutes being mezmerized by Illinois-Purdue. They are just so bad.
Minnesota and Wake laying a collective egg. Literally, both are being shut out. Thanks, guys.
Win number 2, baby.
I've never seen a team look like they care less about the outcome of a game than USC. Whether it's the stars all trying to showcase their skills for the NFL or Kiffin just sucks at motivating, something with this team is off.
Typical late hit from an ohio player, hit a Wisonsin player who had his head down two full seconds after the play ended. Typical thug behavior. How you can support a team full of criminals and brutes is beyond me. Probably has to wear long sleeves to cover up all his free tatoos.
Shazier down. This could be huge for next week.
That was an absolutely brutal hit.
He finally hurt himself. Total psycho.
Watching Wisconsin punt numerous times from OSU's side of the field makes me appreciate having Hoke as a coach.
Looks like it worked out OK that time.
Shazier's back in?
[Insert "wind knocked out of his head" comment]
1:30 from victory, with the ball. 38-28. Hopefully USC will get pissed off enough by this to lay the wood to ND next week
Dumb play by Ball.
Way to blow it Montee Ball.
Awful play call by Wisky. What a joke.
How is that an awful play call? That's Wisconsin's bread and butter. Ball just didn't execute.
Good. We want them undefeated.
EDIT: Too Soon
Haha Ball what a joke. Also, how was that spot not overturned?
What the hell are they doing?!?!
How about the wisky o-lineman saving the 99 yard runback?
RB draw with 33 seconds left and no TO's? Beilema is a moron
But with a haircut you can really set your watch to.
Run on first down with no timeouts? What a dumbass.
are you throwing the ball in the middle of the field, you run the ball. horrible.
I take it all back....forgive me.
That spike took 0 seconds off the clock
lol clock didnt run for the spike
I will say that was a terrible play call on first down though. Why the hell are you running it? Now they only have 13 seconds instead of 20some.
I've seen that two minute offense somewhere.
this is some crazy end of game shit!
pretty damn entertaining to a non-partisan.
beilema badger dont care....
I'd think Wisconsin would want to take their shot at the win while the can. I like Ohio's chances to win more the longer this game goes on
OSU hasn't done anything on offense the entire 2nd half.
They've only scored one offensive TD the entire game.
HOLY COW TOUCHDOWN WISCONSIN WITH 8 SECONDS LEFT! HOLY MOLY!
I just want to see ohio lose, I don't care if it is us or Wisconsin who ends their season.
For the people bitching about LA Tech being ranked ahead of us. They are getting bombed by Utah St.
I think the midget predicted that
12 overtimes!!! Let them keep beating on each other.
I don't like a former walk-on who has missed to xps on the season and is 0/1 on fgs on the day in the field-goal-fest that is college overtime
Montee Ball breaks the NCAA touchdown record to win the game.
For anyone interested, Ole Miss just scored to take a TD lead in Death Valley. Guess they should have scheduled this one as a night game.
Is Les going to manage the clock right. Ole Miss always seems to play LSU tough.
congratulations to Kent State for advancing to the MAC championship.
The last time they won a conference championship, Jack Lambert and Nick Saban were on the team. Seems like a lifetime ago.
Does the referee always call it innings? I don't think I've ever heard it before. Makes a lot of sense, though.
I hope Ball gets the record-breaking TD for the game winner.
No handshakes at the coin toss?
Why do teams always pick defense first. You are going to need a TD or a FG no matter what. Take the ball score a TD then pressure on them to not make a mistake.
if you stop them, you can play conservatively and kick a FG from the middle of the field to win. if your defense scores == instawin.
its like being the home team in baseball....
the one to go second knows if they are in a 4 down situation if they need a TD.
I just think there is a lot less pressure on the Offense if you take the ball first.
lol that was a pretty blatant hold.
Wow. Gotta call the hold there. Blatant.
2 holds. Obviously OSU doesn't have them called.
Bright side for Wisky in OT, there's no clock for Bielema to mismanage
Is it just me or have the Big 10 refs been especially bad this year. Even the replay guys have made a lot of really bad calls. It's mind-boggling.
7NA is now being sung without promting at Camp Randall.
obvious 3rd down handoff is obvious
Just terrible playcalling by Wisconsin. I don't know what they're doing.
You suck Wisconsin. That is all.
game blouses. time to beat these fuckers next week.
Now we have the chance to end their undefeated season in the Shoe. Most excellent
Bielema had a severe case of mouse nuts in the end of this game.
No matter, their run at an AP national championship ends next week.
Good. How anticlimactic if Wisconsin spoils OSU's undefeated season. That's our job.
Beat Ohio. Time to go!
odell beckham just returned a punt for TD against ole miss.
LSU and ole miss are now tied at 35, 4th Q.
Gary Danielson still advocating for the SEC to jump one of the undefeated teams.
I can't decipher if LSU losing this game hurts our BCS chances...I guess it doesn't matter due to the logjam of SEC teams at the top?
nope it dont matter. theyre guaranteed two spots, which they'll get cuz of ESS EEE SEE, but no more.
wow absolute offensive implosion by ole miss.
