LOL, RE: Sparty "A fanbase that's as dedicated as there is in the Big Ten"
Which is why their tickets are going for $3
November 17th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
That pass interference non-call on their last drive was horrendous... the refs are fucking blind, as usual. Happy they lost anyhow.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
Stikin' badgers
Gophers next week
Blue.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
RCMB is hilarious! They really think that there is a conspiracy against them...LOL.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
Interesting how the commentators have to mention 13 billion times every week that every Sparty loss is by a couple points or less. Growing up, it seemed every one of our losses was by 3 points or less every year. I never remember it being mentioned to this extreme by the media.
Oh well. Thanks for beating them, Northwestern.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
I doubt the media ever had as many opportunities to mention it, unless you're old enough to have been growing up in '67.

I can't believe how far the rose bowl is from UCLA. It's almost like if Michigan played at Ford Field
November 17th, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
Wow there's a lot of USC fans in there. Is that some kind of agreement they have or are there just no UCLA football fans?
November 17th, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
its rough when your home stadium is a 30 minute drive from campus.
also, usc rules that city. but maybe not for long, given how this game is going.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
Anybody in Chicagoland know if the Wisco-OSU game is on tv? The "regional coverage" of ESPN2 is showing NC State-Clemson instead. Thanks ESPN!
November 17th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
its on ABC, WLS channel 7.
regular reverse mirror deal with big ten.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
You are a gentleman and a scholar.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
Should be on ABC
November 17th, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
score more than 3 points?
November 17th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
Can BC hold on?
November 17th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
A red, out-of-focus balloon just floated lazily in front of the camera in Memorial Stadium. It still looks better than the art-film production of the Michigan game.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
that fg was good?
November 17th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
Is it fair to say that not only does the SEC play good D but they also play terrible O in general? Right now:
#5 Georgia has only scored 23 on GA Southern in the 3rd
#6 Florida has only scored 23 on Jacksonville State which includes a defensive TD in the 4th
and #9 South Carolina has only scored 24 on Wofford which also includes a defensive TD (in the 4th)
Also, FLorida only managed 27 against ULL with the help of a special teams TD. Bad, bad offenses
November 17th, 2012 at 3:58 PM ^
The Big Ten Pass O is terrible. Look at all the Pass D rankings for the big ten. Everyteam has inflated pass D b/c of inept offenses. I think Big Ten teams will get exposed come bowl time b.c of this. Team will just stuff the run and shut them all down. Every SEC bowl opponent is capable. Rose Bowl as always will be tough
UM 1
Neb 2.
Minny 7.
MSU 13
IU 28
ILL 29
Wis 34
PSU 36
November 17th, 2012 at 4:31 PM ^
I think you might of posted too soon re: Georgia. Their offense is looking good, 38 now, still in the third.
Also keep in mind that all 3 of these teams have huge in-state rivalry games next week, so the offense was probably pretty bland as designed.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:53 PM ^
Might be some openings with Gardner...
double move burned an OSU CB already and we know Gallon is money on that.
UM has to find a running game to keep OSU honest. Gotta find a way to get Denard reps at RB with Gardner at QB. I'm sure OSU will sell out when Drob is at QB for the run.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:56 PM ^
Which would make QB Oh Noes phenomenally successful. Nice thing about QB Oh Noes is that if the safeties bite, all you have to do is float a wounded duck over the LBs and let Roundtree run under it.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:02 PM ^
Borges also never runs true QB oh noes too.
I think Gardner passing will be fine. The RB will be the problem. Gotta get create with Denard as a RB and sprinky inverted veers.
November 17th, 2012 at 5:35 PM ^
Yeah two main ways to burn defenses keying in on a mobile QB, QB Oh Noes and bubble screens, are plays which Borges refuses to run.
November 17th, 2012 at 3:58 PM ^
How do you punt from the opponents 30 yard line? Of course it goes into the end zone for a net 10 yards.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:01 PM ^
Man, there's a ton going on on Minnesota's jerseys above the front numbers. Thick collar, block M, B1G patch, Nike logo, memorial patch.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
Am I the only one getting Purdue-Illinois instead of Nebraska? I hate living in Indiana.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
Well, looks like Nebraska is going to win this easily. Guess it comes down to Iowa next week.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:05 PM ^
initial gameplan not working. Urban will have wrinkles though.
Interesting to watch the Wisc O vs OSU D.
OSU is selling out on the run, just like I think they will vs. UM. Even with Gardner at QB. I think Gardner will have every opportunitiy to make things happen with his arm.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
2 things matter hugely next week....interior Oline play as usual and the DT's have to be much better than they were today.
At worst we have to stalemate the buckeyes Oline and hope our Oline can hold up.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:07 PM ^
Wow. USC misses a handful of tackles and goes for a strip for some reason and UCLA picks up a 3rd and 13 that should have gone for about 3 yards. Trojans looking dispirited. I'm starting to think that Lane Kiffin isn't a good motivator.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:22 PM ^
Yeah, it looks like footballs aren't the only thing that Kiffin can deflate.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:09 PM ^
with how they're playing now.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
USC's defense = sieve
November 17th, 2012 at 4:14 PM ^
24-0? Wow.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:18 PM ^
At home with that offense they can definitely beat ND.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:28 PM ^
They better. The only time I root for USC is when they play Notre Dame. And I need them to keep ND out of the title hunt. (God, how weird it feels to even type that sentence.)
November 17th, 2012 at 4:41 PM ^
ND vs. USC. Meteorite game.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:29 PM ^
Say this for USC, once their defense gets a stop they can be explosive on offense. But that defense looks horrendous.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:33 PM ^
Good use of a timeout by Pellini. If he doesn't want to go for the field goal he gets the opportunity to revise his decision. If he does want to kick the FG, he gives Minny reason to think about the fake, which reduces the chances of a block on a low-trajectory long FG attempt.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:44 PM ^
RCMB is in fire right now with comedy and angry rants. If you're bored, check it out for a chuckle.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:45 PM ^
Erin Andrews just said that he was having surgery on "that broken leg".
November 17th, 2012 at 4:54 PM ^
The signs Mississippi's using to signal plays in the no-huddle offense are all corporate logos: Taco Bell, ESPN....
New revenue source?
November 17th, 2012 at 4:56 PM ^
I just spent the last 20 minutes being mezmerized by Illinois-Purdue. They are just so bad.
November 17th, 2012 at 4:59 PM ^
Minnesota and Wake laying a collective egg. Literally, both are being shut out. Thanks, guys.
November 17th, 2012 at 5:11 PM ^
Win number 2, baby.
November 17th, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
I've never seen a team look like they care less about the outcome of a game than USC. Whether it's the stars all trying to showcase their skills for the NFL or Kiffin just sucks at motivating, something with this team is off.
