That pass interference non-call on their last drive was horrendous... the refs are fucking blind, as usual. Happy they lost anyhow.

Interesting how the commentators have to mention 13 billion times every week that every Sparty loss is by a couple points or less.  Growing up, it seemed every one of our losses was by 3 points or less every year.  I never remember it being mentioned to this extreme by the media.

Oh well.  Thanks for beating them, Northwestern.

Anybody in Chicagoland know if the Wisco-OSU game is on tv?  The "regional coverage" of ESPN2 is showing NC State-Clemson instead.  Thanks ESPN!

A red, out-of-focus balloon just floated lazily in front of the camera in Memorial Stadium. It still looks better than the art-film production of the Michigan game.

Is it fair to say that not only does the SEC play good D but they also play terrible O in general? Right now:

#5 Georgia has only scored 23 on GA Southern in the 3rd

#6 Florida has only scored 23 on Jacksonville State which includes a defensive TD in the 4th

and #9 South Carolina has only scored 24 on Wofford which also includes a defensive TD (in the 4th)

Also, FLorida only managed 27 against ULL with the help of a special teams TD. Bad, bad offenses

The Big Ten Pass O is terrible. Look at all the Pass D rankings for the big ten. Everyteam has inflated pass D b/c of inept offenses. I think Big Ten teams will get exposed come bowl time b.c of this. Team will just stuff the run and shut them all down. Every SEC bowl opponent is capable. Rose Bowl as always will be tough

UM 1

Neb 2.

Minny 7.

MSU 13

IU 28

ILL 29

Wis 34

PSU 36

Might be some openings with Gardner...

double move burned an OSU CB already and we know Gallon is money on that.

UM has to find a running game to keep OSU honest. Gotta find a way to get Denard reps at RB with Gardner at QB. I'm sure OSU will sell out when Drob is at QB for the run.

initial gameplan not working. Urban will have wrinkles though.

Interesting to watch the Wisc O vs OSU D.

OSU is selling out on the run, just like I think they will vs. UM. Even with Gardner at QB. I think Gardner will have every opportunitiy to make things happen with his arm.

Wow. USC misses a handful of tackles and goes for a strip for some reason and UCLA picks up a 3rd and 13 that should have gone for about 3 yards. Trojans looking dispirited. I'm starting to think that Lane Kiffin isn't a good motivator.

Good use of a timeout by Pellini. If he doesn't want to go for the field goal he gets the opportunity to revise his decision. If he does want to kick the FG, he gives Minny reason to think about the fake, which reduces the chances of a block on a low-trajectory long FG attempt.

I've never seen a team look like they care less about the outcome of a game than USC. Whether it's the stars all trying to showcase their skills for the NFL or Kiffin just sucks at motivating, something with this team is off.
