"I love it that Ivy League coaches are coming to our camp and Big Ten coaches are coming to our camp. South Florida is coming. We've got about 70 schools that are coming to our camp."
The ref ran into the Marshall head coach causing a huge gash that is bleeding all over his face.
Major gaff on the part of the Assback coach.
Interesting call? How about a STUPID call?!?
Weird playcalling by Ohio there. You're moving it on the ground and then go through the air all of a sudden?
Wow going for the strip instead of just tackling him leads to a TD
Wow. Worst tacking I have ever seen.
Superb tackling by Ohio...
GERG level tackling there!
Tackle much Buckeyes?
Roby gets called for a facemask and decent field position becomes great field position....and Mumphrey, who dodged no less than 457 tackles and/or attempts to strip the ball, gets a TD. Spartans take the lead. Damnit.
Going for the strip at the 7 instead of the tackle might cost OSU the game. Just make the stop--you have a great chance to hold MSU to 3.
Greg Robinson must be teaching Ohio how to tackle.
13 points already. I was NOT expecting Sparty to score that many points.
Eh, if UAB can do it, I think MSU can do it.
Mumphs like I dropped 10 passes today but I got that one!
It's ok to go for the strip when the ballcarrier is wrapped up or has no chance of additional forward progress. Don't try to strip the ball from him mid stride.
Not to mention, even if the ball comes out there's a decent chance it goes OOB.
Hey, here's a great idea! Let's practice tackling once a week! Being able to tackle won't be a game-breaker right?
Tony Gibson start coaching the Ohio DBs. That looked familiar for some reason.
until ole Fickell gets the boot from Meyer?
Hopefully never. They're pitiful.
I hate that there is a guy named Dennard on msu
I really think Urban is in trouble in this conference. He wont be able to out-talent everyone on the field because there isn't nearly enough to choose from in the midwest compared to the southeast.
Take that with no Mattison, Strong, Mullen on his staff and I hope buckeye fans realize they aren't getting the urban from florida.
With Hoke, Kelly, and to a lesser extent Dantonio going into Ohio and getting good talent it's going to be a struggle for Urban.
That might be a bit naive. Take a look at what Meyer did with OSU's recruiting class this past year with the 3 months he had before NSD. His resume speaks for itself, and kids from the south will want to play for him. He won 2 national titles in the toughest conference in college football. There's no reason he can't have success in the B1G.
I think the only thing that might hinder his recruiting success is how good or bad the B1G becomes in the near future. If the conference as a whole continues to go down the crapper, he'll lose a lot of recruiting battles to the SEC. Kids want to play for national titles, plain and simple.
"Vincent Smith touchdown!"
I could so hear Musberger saying that.
Well, this is interesting.
Wow. Perfect throw. And the WR caught it!
LOL and just like that Adams gets smoked.
Vincent err Kevin err Devon Smith touchdown.
Nice pass, wow! Was that Miller? Looked like an actual spiral to less than wide open WR.
VINCENT SMITH FINGER GUNS!
Momentum killer much?
Devin Smith gets the TD on what looked like a horrible matchup in the secondary (wheels vs. not so much). I know that Devin Smith is a busy man, playing for three or four teams as he does, but I am somehow pleased that he was there to catch this pass.
And wow there is a ton of red in that stadium
Our Devin Smith is better.
that was a nicely thrown ball
Sparty gives up after they do something good.
You have to challnege MSU's corners. Their constant blitzing has made the secondary seem a lot better than it is.
This devin smith guy is pretty good
This thread is getting a little long ... yay or nay on a 4th quarter schadenfreude thread? Vote this comment up to +5 for a new thread, vote down for nay...
Nice end around, Sparty
How is Ohio losing to UMASS?
Cuz UMass is a decent team.
Believe it or not, teams can improve throughout the season.
Tony Lippett holds the ball up after a mundane reception to signal that he caught it. That's pretty funny
