Holy shit! State passes for a first down.
"It's a lot easier being a drug dealer than an AAU coach" - this guy. Tell me something I don't know. I mean, don't think but have never tried either.
Holy shit! State passes for a first down.
Hey, I liked that play. Unbalanced line. Sims as LT, goes out uncovered. The DE just charges in, but Maxwell knows Sims is open and nails him. A pity about the flag.
Haven't seen a good replay, but I'm guessing State had an ineligible guy split out, and that guy forgot that he was ineligible. Still, very creative play design.
Jeez do the sparty fans know any chants that dont involve cussing? That is all I hear from that fanbase.
No, they don't care. They're drunk and horny.
Are the MSU fans really chanting "Bullshit" on an ineligible-receiver penalty? That's not exactly a judgment call.
That's some high-quality SEC defense going on in the Tennessee-UGa game.
Penn State loses to Ohio (not the Ohio) and clobbers Illinois. Go figure!
Illinois is the new Indiana.
Ohio could go undefeated this year. Frank Solich has done a hell of a job turning that program around.
If they can get by UMass, who is currently beating them 24-20.
Jeez...ok these receivers are BAD. Maxwell has been on the money most of this game.
Geez. That's such a beautiful throw. I really hope the MSU receivers keep in being this bad throughout the year. I would really hate to all of a sudden seem them learn out ot catch when they play us.
Damn, these guys can't catch. Getting weird at this point.
MAKE PLAYYYYSS!!! Ah, I'm loving this.
Maxwell has been getting killed by his receivers all year.
They really can't catch, can they?
I can see MSU going for a stupid fake here.
"We call it Little Giant!!"
Nah. You play safe defense in that kind of situation, so it's not an easy make. And in a game this low-scoring a field goal is pretty valuable.
One of my favorite cultural curiosities about the SEC is the absence of nets behind the goalposts; fans just throw the balls back. I watched for that when I went to Tennessee and LSU ten years ago. Obviously, in Ann Arbor the ball will go over the top.
MSU's pass protection does look improved. Either that or Ohio really doesn't have much of a rush.
Keep in mind that OSU has not played well on D all year. This is not a vintage OSU D. MSU is getting the ball out just in time quite a bit still.
That's been a big storyline for OSU so far this season, not getting any pressure on the passer.
MSU is exploding today on offense!
Dang, MSU has a really good kicker. 5 50yd field goals. yikes
Except that he's missed five FGs this year. Good leg strength, crappy accuracy.
Yeah, he's missed one in every game this year too.
Hahaha @ Geogia triple covering the flag route on that replay. That's assignment football right there.
Dantonio said in an interview yesterday that the WRs need to play like they did in practice. If they practiced dropping easy passes in traffic, then they are doing awesome, I must say.
Conroy puts the Spartans to within one. Early nomination (again) for Dan Conroy's foot as the offensive player of the game.
Somewhere Brionte is holding a cup of water and watching this game. I'm surprised he hasn't been able to jump by Hyde by now.
Really? Did anybody actually believe Meyer when he said he would use big backs to run power despite is whole career doing the opposite? Well apparently some people believed him...
and his name is "Brionte Dunn".
Am I the only one that thinks Miller reverses the field way too much when running?
I think it worked against teams like UAB, Miami and UCF.
Come on Tom....your a top ten pick according to everyone. Pick it up
Not surprised by that facemask by Tom.
Gholston personal foul hand to face. Shocking!!!!!
Nice penalty TOM gholston, you piece of shit.
They really should include Toms penalties in his stats, lol. 3 sacks, 10 first down penalties for the other team.
The dude is psychotic.
If Ohio scores here that's game.
i dunno...Dantonio has made a living winning these types of games the last 3 yrs. Love him or hate him, Sparty has won a lot of close games in the 4th with great D and opportunistic offense.
That's his forte--a late miracle TD. Holding OSU to 3 (as it appears they're doing) keeps them right there. A buckeye TD would really be killer.
I know but now he has a team that is lucky to score 9 against a non Mac school.
I think this is the first time I have ever wanted Urban Meyer to win a game.
Marshall scores. Purdue now leading them 42-28.
Blocking....and then a little more blocking.
