still cant believe that 5 Star LB Lawrence Thomas is now a no name fullback.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
And there it is. Tennessee 30-27, a game a lot of people were already calling "over." And, who could blame them? I thought it was too.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
Good to see Storm Klein playing...NOT!
September 29th, 2012 at 5:25 PM ^
OSU getting away with mugging Maxwell there. Refs let a helmet-first hit on a defenseless receiver go in the first half, too.

September 29th, 2012 at 5:27 PM ^
Hey, I liked that play. Unbalanced line. Sims as LT, goes out uncovered. The DE just charges in, but Maxwell knows Sims is open and nails him. A pity about the flag.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Haven't seen a good replay, but I'm guessing State had an ineligible guy split out, and that guy forgot that he was ineligible. Still, very creative play design.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:28 PM ^
Jeez do the sparty fans know any chants that dont involve cussing? That is all I hear from that fanbase.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
September 29th, 2012 at 5:27 PM ^
Are the MSU fans really chanting "Bullshit" on an ineligible-receiver penalty? That's not exactly a judgment call.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:27 PM ^
That's some high-quality SEC defense going on in the Tennessee-UGa game.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Penn State loses to Ohio (not the Ohio) and clobbers Illinois. Go figure!
September 29th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Ohio could go undefeated this year. Frank Solich has done a hell of a job turning that program around.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:39 PM ^
If they can get by UMass, who is currently beating them 24-20.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Jeez...ok these receivers are BAD. Maxwell has been on the money most of this game.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Geez. That's such a beautiful throw. I really hope the MSU receivers keep in being this bad throughout the year. I would really hate to all of a sudden seem them learn out ot catch when they play us.

September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Maxwell has been getting killed by his receivers all year.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
They really can't catch, can they?
September 29th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
I can see MSU going for a stupid fake here.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
"We call it Little Giant!!"
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Nah. You play safe defense in that kind of situation, so it's not an easy make. And in a game this low-scoring a field goal is pretty valuable.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
One of my favorite cultural curiosities about the SEC is the absence of nets behind the goalposts; fans just throw the balls back. I watched for that when I went to Tennessee and LSU ten years ago. Obviously, in Ann Arbor the ball will go over the top.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
MSU's pass protection does look improved. Either that or Ohio really doesn't have much of a rush.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Keep in mind that OSU has not played well on D all year. This is not a vintage OSU D. MSU is getting the ball out just in time quite a bit still.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
That's been a big storyline for OSU so far this season, not getting any pressure on the passer.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Dang, MSU has a really good kicker. 5 50yd field goals. yikes
September 29th, 2012 at 5:35 PM ^
Except that he's missed five FGs this year. Good leg strength, crappy accuracy.

Hahaha @ Geogia triple covering the flag route on that replay. That's assignment football right there.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Dantonio said in an interview yesterday that the WRs need to play like they did in practice. If they practiced dropping easy passes in traffic, then they are doing awesome, I must say.
Conroy puts the Spartans to within one. Early nomination (again) for Dan Conroy's foot as the offensive player of the game.

Somewhere Brionte is holding a cup of water and watching this game. I'm surprised he hasn't been able to jump by Hyde by now.

and his name is "Brionte Dunn".

I think it worked against teams like UAB, Miami and UCF.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
Come on Tom....your a top ten pick according to everyone. Pick it up
September 29th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
Not surprised by that facemask by Tom.
September 29th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
Gholston personal foul hand to face. Shocking!!!!!
September 29th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
Nice penalty TOM gholston, you piece of shit.

i dunno...Dantonio has made a living winning these types of games the last 3 yrs. Love him or hate him, Sparty has won a lot of close games in the 4th with great D and opportunistic offense.
