Come on man. Just accept that MSU will be in the playoffs, because the football gods like to consistently take massive shits on Michigan. Not sure what we did to piss them off so much, but we're probably going to end up with OSU winning the Rose Bowl and an MSU/ND title because why the hell would it ever go any differently?

As much as I hate it, MSU winning is for the best. I don't want OSU to repeat as champs, which would definitely be a possibility if they made the playoff. This way, Iowa has a chance to beat MSU, and even if Sparty makes the playoffs, they have basically no shot at winning it all. Now we just need ND to lose tonight as well. Don't need anymore rivals winning it all please.

So why does MSU have no shot? They have Cook back, and even when he was out, they went into Columbus last week and beat OSU with a backup QB.

Everyone last year said OSU had no shot against Alabama, and they curb stomped Alabama and Oregon en route to a title. Why would MSU have no shot? No one looks unbeatable this year.

But yes, I'd rather see MSU in than OSU.

You think Bama with a month to prepare won't hammer MSU?  Really?  MSU does not have the skill position players that OSU has or that those Auburn teams that have given Bama fits in the past.  There is not Elliot in the MSU backfield.  MSU is a very poor man's version of Bama.  The teams that give Bama trouble have high flying offenses.  MSU simply does not.  Bama would be a very bad matchup for them.

Also next week MSU will have to deal with having all the pressure in the world on them.  They will be the favourites.  They are the older team who is suppose to win.  Iowa will be lose as they are playing with house money.

I don't assume anything with MSU anymore. They underwhelm when you expect them to dominate, and they come out and make statements when you expect them to get rolled.

They punked OSU on their own turf, so I will not assume anything anymore about them. I do believe Bama would probably beat them, but it wouldn't shock me in the slightest if MSU weaseled its way into beating them by some miraculous turn of events.

It's mind boggling how every MSU player is stopped short of a first down line and ALWAYS pushes/falls for the first down.

Hackenberg either hits a bullseye or misses the side of a barn.

...why OSU goes to the Rose Bowl ahead of the championship game loser? They lost to MSU (and without Cook); if it's Iowa each would each have one loss, to the same team, and Iowa won a half-championship and had to play MSU at full strength.

If Iowa gets crushed next week I can see it because it might mean East>>West; otherwise it seems strange to reward a team for losing their way to a championship-week bye.

OK, classless Sparty up 48-16 lines up thgeir center Jack Allen and he gets the corner and goes 8 yards for a TD.  Ridiculous.  And this was right after Malik McDowell scored a D TD for them.

MSU just recovered another fumble and on the first play had their CENTER line up at RB, gave him the ball and he rumbled about 15 yrds for a TD.

This day just got even worse.

At least I can sleep soundly knowing that Ohio won't be playing next weekend either. I can enjoy the Michigan hockey and basketball games we'll be going to next Saturday to the fullest now.
