I'm sorry for bringing this up, but we also gave up 34 points to the team getting shut out.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:01 PM ^
I am so happy, I'm +1-ing all over the place.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:01 PM ^
I love the overrated chant...
October 30th, 2010 at 5:01 PM ^
I love the timeouts by Ferentz.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
You know who's really loving the timeouts? Penn St. fans
October 30th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
I liked that BTN commercial
Q: Other Big 10 school kids, what is your profession?
A: ::Actual professions::
Q: Spartans, what is your profession?
A: Apparently unemployed and inarticulate idiot
October 30th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
Wow. Ferentz showing no mercy and I am loving it.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
And so Iowa decides to further stand on Sparty's throat with time outs. This game is full of wow.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
Ferentz must be feeling frisky, glad he's not taking his foot off of Sparty's neck.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
Ferentz....I love it...calling TO's even though they are virtually useless right now.....making Saint Dantonio sulk through every second of this 1st half....
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
dantonio says nothing
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
Ferentz is getting some much needed practice at calling time-outs, after last weeks debacle
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
+1 to Iowa for calling timeouts to further degrade MSU's 3rd down and 4th down conversion percentage.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
Has Iowa ever blown a 30 point lead?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
Iowa'd better lay the wood in the 2nd half. I would love NOTHING more today than a little, "Geez, Michigan did a hell of a lot better than you guys did against Iowa..." type salt for the wounds of my sparty season ticket holding, annoying ass, arrogant prick of a brother in law.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
The only fear I have right now is, those were the two games [Ed - UofM + Wisconsin] Dantonio either wasn't present at or wasn't involved in completely.
Since Dantonio came back to the sideline, we've played poorly against NU and now embarrassed ourselves against Iowa. I fully believe Dantonio is the right man for the job, but this has to raise a few questions.
We played perfectly against Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois (second half). The moment Dantonio comes back down, we struggle against NU and now get crushed by Iowa.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
One truly bad half and people (well, one at least) is questioning his job. Awesome.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:17 PM ^
This Sparty bandwagon has very shaky wheels. Hopefully this will result in me having to look at less green and white around this great state. It has been getting out of hand the last two weeks in particular.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
I'll tack on that they needed OT to beat ND at home and honestly weren't that better team as far as I watched.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
aside from those administered by Michigan of course.
Karma's a bitch.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
Are they dickish or are they awesome? I really don't know. If ever there was a team deserving of that kind of treatment, it is definitely MSU, but nevertheless calling those timeouts is pretty bush league. I am conflicted.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
Awesome, but why not earlier to get the ball back? They waited to the last second, literally, to call them instead of calling them with 40 seconds left to force a punt.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
They would be dickish if any of Iowa players got hurt. Since that didn't happen they were great.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
I don't think its bush league. There is still a half of football left any thing can happen. If you can put more points on the board before the half go for it.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
but it does not hold much water. There was virtually no chance that Iowa gets the ball back with a real scoring opportunity. Even with the timeouts, they didn't get the ball back. Calling those timeouts is the football equivalent of teabagging someone, not that MSU doesn't deserve it.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
This 0-30 half is all part of Dantonio's master trick play where his team starts 8-0 then loses out
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
If these afternoon games hold, HOW pumped are Boise and TCU/Utah right now????
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
So.. will the Notre Dame fans storm the field if they beat Tulsa?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
Ferentz not misusing his timeouts this week. Ha
October 30th, 2010 at 5:05 PM ^
Karma for Dantonio????
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
BOOM Karma'd!
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
of Iowa's Defense.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
It's like a train-wreck you can't take your eyes away from.
A slow motion train-wreck where everyone has time to step safely away from the train and those stepping away are all Swedish bikini models who immediately come over to me for comforting.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
This is impossible but I really want Ferentz to run up the score on Sparty in the second half.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:30 PM ^
Judging from the way the second half has started, I would say running up the score looks possible, if not likely.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
October 30th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
but I had no clue it was Millen, now it makes more sense....
October 30th, 2010 at 5:13 PM ^
I hope for Millen's sake he actually can start a B job and finish it. It would be the first time in his life he was able to properly finish a job he started.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:15 PM ^
cause if this happened, you'd probably be forced to watch it during the UofM-ND night game next year....
October 30th, 2010 at 5:06 PM ^
FCS team William and Mary beating UNC at the half, 17-7
October 30th, 2010 at 5:07 PM ^
but for some reason CSN is showing Umass vs. James Madison (not in HD, of course) and JMU is up 14-3 in the 3rd. How does JMU give up only 3 so far?
October 30th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
Didn't James Madison beat Virginia Tech? Not too shabby.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:12 PM ^
That's because UMass scored more points against Michigan than it has in any other game this season. Also, JMU beat Va Tech and Va Tech hasn't lost since, so presumably JMU is pretty good.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
I love the timeouts because I want Michigan State to feel pain, but I am surprised Ferentz is calling them. Dantonio must have pissed him off somewhere along the way. I can't wait till the frustration comes out and state players start punching Iowa engineering students.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
It won't matter, if they did that in 3rd they would be reinstated by the 4th
October 30th, 2010 at 5:14 PM ^
Let's call a spade a spade, they punch girls. Young girls, they may get in fights with all kinds of students, but Spartans tend to pick on little girls.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
Regression to the mean. Never fails.
October 30th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
awesome...the pink locker room fits these guys well right now. Maybe they will paint some flowers on the wall........god damnit.....wtf is going on??????
Gotta love it...
