Afternoon game open thread/afternoon drinking thread

Nick Saban just called a football field a triangle. SEC.

What are you drinking? I'm drinking Bell's Two Hearted.

Boulevard , LongStrange tripel.

Watching some real football now.  Go Bama...I guess.  Or aTm, but not Manziel, so Bama.  I don't know.  I just want to see better football than what I just witnessed for the last few hours.

gave me a fucking headache, so glad we luckily won. We really deserved to lose today, I'm really concerned with the defensive playcalling, why isn't Mattison being more aggressive?

Whenever we were aggressive on D, we stuffed them, fuck that passive shit, what are the opinions out there?

the thread is way premature.  There is a blueprint to beat Bama both offensively and defensively.

Load up the box and stop the running game and force McCarron to beat you with his arm.  Double Amari Cooper and make other WR make plays.  Spread them out and go uptempo.  Having a mobile QB who can throw will hurt Bama defense.

The team who is best equipped to beat Bama right now?  Oregon.

Blueprint defensively? If your plan is to give up 42 points, you're in trouble.

But for a garbage TD that was meaningless at the end and allowed to run off time, the thread you mocked was pretty spot on. Not as spot on as Vegas, but a lot more than your "A&M making them look silly" post. A&M lost, and it took a few lucky breaks for it even to be remotely close.

And that's with the Heisman Trophy winner. How many teams have someone like that?

Texas' greed and mistreatment of its B12 conference partners for years is arguably the factor most directly responsible for the realignment fiesta we had recently. LHN made A&M mad enough to bolt for the SEC. Nebraska was fed up being stuck in the B12 North. Colorado and Missouri bolted for similar reasons. They don't share revenue equally in the B12 the way we do in the B10.
