After years of trying to become parents, Chris Webber and his wife welcome twins

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa 68 on

As a father who has lost two infants myself, I understand the "heartbreak along the way"

My heart-felt congratulations to the Webber family on the new additions.

The article could have left out the snark about his past at UM, but the picture of the girls is adorable.

If Webber had twin boys do you think they would go to Michigan or somewhere else?

Jalen Rose had a son LaDarius who judging by the internets must be 23 or so.  I'm guessing he didn't play as I can't find anything.

Juwan Howard Jr. was playing for the Miami Heat summer league last year after playing at WMU and Detroit Mercy.

Glen Rice Jr. was another legacy Beilein wasn't real interested in (an offer came late after Rice committed to GTech). Though GRJ was a pretty good high school, college, and D-League baller, he had quite a few personal issues that derailed his basketball career, a number of times.

Really happy for him. Becoming "pregnant" usually involves great cheer/joy/celebration, but as me and my wife found out as well, it sometimes actually causes pain and heartache. We lost two of our own, and the battle to actually make it through an entire pregnancy with hope and joy is sometimes extremely difficult when you go through an experience like that. It happens way more often than is talked about - usually goes on as an unspoken secret.

Happy for Chris Webber and his family. That's a rough process to go through. Makes it that much more gratifying once your child is actually born.

My wife and I are in a similar boat with C. Webb.  We've been trying for about 6 years and had three miscarriages along the way with the last one being at about 18 weeks.  It's been tough but we're finally almost at the finish line.  We are expecting our daughter to be born any day now.  :)

Congratulations!!!  People don't talk about it often but miscarriages are still quite common.  My wife & I lost two babies before we had three more who are doing quite well.

Take this for what it is worth (my opinion) but I recommend making sure you remember the first children because they are part of your family history and something you & your wife share.  We made small boxes of the memories we had from ours - ultrasound photos, cards people gave us, etc.  There are sad memories there but, good or bad, they are part of you.

Once again, congratulations on the upcoming birth of your child!

Congrats to CWebb (and to Mr. and Mrs. Durham Blue). I assume John Calipari has already sent a pair of onesies and donesies to the happy couple.

God bless you and your family. Now do the right thing; make peace; raise those little Wolverines as part of our family.

It's been reported that heavy usage of weed can cause impotence.

It has also been reported that Chris likes his weed being named to the top pot heads in sports history.

We know he was arrested a few time because of it.

But congrats to him and his wife!

Webber wasn't the only one who thought we had a timeout. He just happens to be the guy who called it. There are more important things in life than sports as I'm sure he is well aware of and congrats to  C-Webb.
