Advice: single ticket game time
Anyhow. Any advice on "scalping" a solo ticket? Thinking the golf course/pioneer side is likely the best location? Anyone else had luck getting a decent deal for a solo (ticket) around game time?
And advice would be great. (And a couch near Charley's or pizza house would great as well ha. The only Marriott with rooms was in Brighton. )

To make sure it's valid, get on stubhub. I would guess there will be a lot of scam tickets tomorrow. Would hate to see you waste your money.

I bought tickets off of craicgslist, this will be my first game at The Big House. How will i be able to check if there legit?

The problem with Michigan Football tickets isn't whether they are legit or not. Anybody can relist tickets with the barcode numbers. I'm pretty sure the only way to make sure that they haven't been resold is to get into the game as early as possible - or at least before anybody else who may have tickets with the same barcode. Once you get your tickets scanned into the game, nobdoy else can use them.
The odds of this happening are slim, but it can happen. As long as you have the hard tickets, you should be good. Not sure about the ticketmaster looking printout ones though. I've heard those are the ones that are most faked.

That's not necessarily how the barcodes work. If sold on stubhub it will change

Well, if it's a solo, you're not really paying for it, right? Eventual blindness, and maybe some unwanted hair growth, sure. But money shouldn't be changing (cough) hands.

the best place to watch is in the stadium.

I used to buy single tix a lot in the 90's/ early 2000's. Internet has made this simpler especially with stub hub. Walking around the stadium with a finger in the air and being asked a hundred times "which way is the wind blowing? Hur hur." However, I always found I could get a ticket from some of the long time season ticket holders who may have a wife that didn't want to come, and they hate selling them to the scalpers. They'd prefer selling to another fan. But be prepared to start early and walk all over. I'd rather use stub hub and not spend 2 hours walking up and down stadium and main, but there's single tix out there if your patient and persistent.

and never had a problem getting a decent deal. Best luck I've had is when you catch people as they're heading in along Stadium. These people are usually eager to just get to the game and if you lowball 'em they'll usually cave.

There's currently over 400 single seats left on Stubhub. My guess (from past experience) is that you can probably get one for under face value by early morning. At some point in the next 12-15 hours people are going to start panicking and the prices will drop. The weather is going to be cold and because OSU lost last week, demand had slightly dropped and so will the prices.

The night before panic will drop singles significantly. Be ready to pull the trigger quickly

Tailgate all morning and pick your ticket on stubhub after your first couple beers, scan your phone on the way in. Easiest way to get the best price.

...but I have gotten pretty good last minute deals on stub hub a couple of times. They scan digital bar codes at the gate.

I didn't realize that we scanned digital barcodes at the gates. Great to know. Even better reason to wait to the last minute - as long as you have good reception.
