Given that we have a new AD, I don't know if that really means anything. We'd be silly, at the least, not to hear the other companies out and use them as a bit of leverage.
but a new "interim" AD could have taken the easy road and just renewed. He also sent out a survey to all the athletes, spoke with other AD's from other universities, and spoke to several coaches. IMO, that is someone looking for the best deal as you suggest or proactively looking for a change.
Plus, the impression I get is that Hackett doesn't do things the easy way - he does them the right way.

You can't just go through life blaming others for your non-sensical posting!
Has Adidas received a good return for the money paid to UM?
I hope so for their sake. Because they sure haven't received good publicity.
I bet they have. I myself went out and bought a bunch of Adidas gear when we switched. I'm sure others did the same.
Uuuuuh, would you expect them to act any differently regardless of how they actually felt?
I'd be playing Age of Empires II and be beating the crap out of the British, and then it would inform me that King Edward had "resigned" and I'd think "Oh crap! Does that mean he's coming back for his vengeance on me?"
I appreciate your level-headed response to this issue...
As someone who was once cannibalized on this very board for using resigned instead of re-signed I can tell you that some people have a hard time actually reading, and need to get all of there information from headlines. Ambiguity is a motherfucker...
it'll all be OK. I'm glad you did'nt fall a part over it, though it must of been a tough thing to go through.

"Their, their"... is this some kind of a sick word-usage joke?!?! Where are the grammar nazis when you need them???
It's the same with a part and apart. That space changes the entire meaning.
I cringe when I see people write things like "I'm proud to be apart of this organization" - they're saying the opposite of what they mean.
A dash would really clarify things here. You got my hopes up.
Putting my Grammar Nazi hat on here--the rest of the uniform is at the drycleaners--a hyphen is what was needed. A dash is a different puncutation mark altogether.
I'm surprised Adidas isn't just pulling out of the NCAAF market all together. Didn't they lose ND and Tennessee recently? I guess signing Miami(YTM) and UM again would keep them afloat in the market.
Either they do a revamp of the football department or they should just stick to soccer. Their soccer jerseys are on point.
I'm neutral on Adidas. I'd have a preference for Nike. I will be disappointed if we end up with Under Armour.
Adidas people pretty much, OF COURSE they're going to say they think Michigan will continue with them. I wouldn't necessarily be that positive about it if I were them. Personally, I don't care that much. I'm not very picky at all about logo gear, as far as the manufacturer goes. I am glad they fixed that awful highlighter yellow color issue though. That was butt-ugly.
"There is nothing to see. Other than the new legacy uniforms we will be unveiling. Which Michigan will wear anew each week. They're all about those stripes, no swooshes."
You know this guy was fake right?
I'd rather revisit our dogs and how their anal glands function at this point.

I expected them to say-
"sigh........no, we lost them to Nike. The writing is obviously on the wall since most of their athletes want Nike and 97% of their fans want Nike"
I wouldn't expect a guy like you to just make up a stat.
I haven't bought an adidas-made Michigan piece of apparel since the MBB throwback 1989 jersey from January because I knew the contract was coming up.
Holding up strong. Proud of myself.

I hate to break it to you but not buying an Adidas made Michigan piece of apparel in four months is normal.
I personally can't stand anything Nike stands for. They did provide me with a lot of material for my ethics class.
Adidas is going to keep spouting that it's all going well until there's an actual result. I'd expect Nike to do the same.

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh, except they won't.
Yawn. Another phoned in News/Freep article peppered with nothing quotes from a company man.
If Michigan does not re-sign with Adidas, where are we having the burn your addidas gear bonfire at?

It's not like the clothes fit properly anyways.
