The board does not render emojis. If you exclude them on the plain text editor in the tweet, they will show up.

What I just posted is a Harbaugh profile widget. Brian should add one to the side of the page for the latest HARBAUGH news.

I don't mean to raise this question just because of this post, but does every tweet Harbaugh makes need its own thread? One would think everyone already follows him and sees it themselves anyway.

Which is why I don't understand why Brian's tweets always get posted in open threads. I'm sure if people care to see what he tweets during games they can easily find it. Just google @mgoblog twitter and you'll be able to see every tweet

5? 6?  I don't know if I could even tie my own shoes at that age and she's sending picture messages with emoji's?  Christ I'm old.

One of the Harbaugh's needs to write a book on parenting.

about the technology at a young age.  People keep trying to force that stuff on my 3 year old (he doesn't need a goddamn tablet) and I've been shutting it down.

As far as the parenting book, I was having a conversation about Jack Harbaugh with my co-worker a while back.  We both were trying to figure out how he raised two boys that turned out to be so successful and happy.

Keep fighting the good fight. My experience watching my friends and in-laws parent is that most technology is used to keep kids busy and the parents want to believe it is helping them so they don't feel bad about plugging them in. I didn't mean to come down on any of the Harbaughs' parenting skills. They seem like a really close family with good values. I don't envy the position of parents with crazy schedules trying to balance career and home life.

First, the kid doesn't have a twitter account. He's posting a text she sent. Of course, she doesn't actually have to have her own smartphone to send a text. Perhaps the child borrowed her mothers? Or aunts? Or older sibling?

I mean dang, it's just a very cute picture/message from his kids that he loves. Does some kind of criticism have to come out of every bloody thing? To conclude that this childs life is "technology driven" to the point where Harbaugh's parenting has to publicly be called into question from this evidence is, IMO, a pretty serious stretch.

My conclusion is: Those are some yummy little girls who love their daddy!

beautiful.. :) That's all. It's ok. Stand down. :) I have 4 kids, and I've generated a lot of pet phrases, and sometimes they escape into public.

See below for yummy:

I totally agree with you about the inadvisability of using 'tech to keep kids out of your hair', thing.

OTOH, at some age (10-11), it's time to have them jump in, cause man, they gotta be comfortable with it in ....THE FUTURE.

Yes, my 10 year old writes HTML/CSS/Javascript and plays basketball. Balance, grasshopper. :)

My kids - with the consent of my wife, whose phone they use - will sometimes send me texts at work (if they are home to do it, which isn't often), and true to the long line of irreverent people from which they come, my daughter sent me a text the other day which read "lol wtf". Now, the funny part is that it probably made sense in the long exchange she was having with her grandmother because I am sure my text to my mother-in-law stood out in the conversation, but being 8 years old....yeah, there was a discussion about that later.

I sometimes wish I got more texts like the one posted above.
