Academic Ineligibility Notice?

I noticed that ESPN has begun reporting which players will be academically ineligible for many teams but Michigan has no reports yet. I know the coaching staff said they dont anticipate any problems but does anyone know when for sure they are released?

Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field?

The team leaves tomorrow so its possible for a player to make the trip and find out he cant play once already in florida? Thats sad, i hope noones family makes the trip then finds out their kid cant suit up.

I'd say the kid would be able to fairly predict their own grades.

I'm a current student and would easily be able to tell if I failed a class AKA failed everything prior to the final exam.

Because you have to do better than "not fail" to be eligible. And it's not one class, but the cumulative of all the classes. A little harder to pinpoint predict.

I have already received all my grades and my last exam was the 21st. They grade everything before the staff/gsi's go on break, most the same day they exam is taken. Just because we don't know who is ineligible doesn't mean they don't.

On the other hand, I still have 2 grades outstanding and my last exam was the 20th.  A class in which I took an exam on the 13th has not posted the grades yet.  I've had professors not post grades until January 1 or so.  It's definitely feasible for someone to make the trip thinking they're good to go and find out later they're not.

I teach college, not at a top 50 contender but an okay NCAA program.

I have to do student progress reports on team members every two weeks in season, and middle and end of semester for out of season.

I have never been pressured or even asked to speed up grading on athletes. Heck, the admin doesn't really pressure me for grades at all, other than requesting that they be in by the first if I can.
