I look on the board and didn't see this posted yet. Tim Beckman apparently hired Aaron Hillman to become his Head strength and conditioning coach. Good Luck Aaron and thank for all that you did for Michigan!
Aaron Hillman to Illinois
Bastards taking our assistant S&C coaches...
Also, kind of had a mini panic attack before I remembered our head S&C coach was Aaron Wellman
Thanks for The clarification. I had the same (mini) panic attack. It was a temporary WTF moment. Maybe one too many Sam Adams tonight.
Thank god Bawris is still local. But then I realized it was not the main S&C coach.
Edit: Same Aaron Wellman panic attack. Nevermind. Good luck to Aaron Hillman.
Saw it on football scoop
And I panicked too!!!
If i panicked anyone.
who's Aaron Hillman?
Did anyone else notice that the link is to "mgoblue.com/genrel"?
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
to sleepy to know who Aaron Hillman is, however I must of panicked because threw all the excitement I am suddenly a little tired again. Good luck to Aaron.
hillman was head s&c coach at bgsu when beckman was an assistant coach
I don't know Hillman or his particular techniques but I watched the ESPN feature on the S & C coaches at LSU & Alabama yesterday and I'm sorry - they all seem to me like the same basic guy. They are alwayswaaaaaay too excited and think yelling is somehow the be-all, end-all to motivational techniques.
I lift regularly and I can tell you that if some over-caffeinated assistant coach wannabee started yelling at me like these guys do I'd politely tell him to drink a big cup of shut the fuck up.
Really. I don't need some coach yelling at me...I already have a wife for that.
He'll be the head S&C guy there. He's an assistant to Wellman here.
Our S&C coaches didn't yell at all, other than raising their voice to address the whole group. The quietest one was a former team captain who's bro played in the NFL. Before you go all, "LOLZ NU" remember our football team ran a LOT of hurry up/no huddle, had epic 54-51 49-48 games. I offer this in complete support of the above points that you dont have to yell and be wild to be effective in the weight room, and show that not all teams are like that.
Good luck to him in his new venture. Wish him and his new team all the best except for when the play Michigan!!!
