When you tell me not to do something, that means I have to do it.  Those were typical uneducated comments.

Can't wait until all of this is over and we can get back to what happens on the field.

was the whole point of posting this to tell us not to read the comments?

or are we supposed to read the article, and not the comments.

my head hurts.

I can only take so many one sentence paragraphs per article.

There comes a point that it gets so choppy you just can't continue any further for fear of vomitting.

I remember some teacher telling me many moons ago to clump

sentences together

that form a complete thought

/topic.

unreadable article and the comments were definitly typical of people who follow the team from a distance without taking into account why this team has really struggled, i.e lack of talent/depth/experience. Just frustrating to to read that stuff all the time.

Mainly, I want to know why in the fuck Tony Dearing hired another anti-UM guy in a UM media market.  What the fuck was he thinking?  Just when Sparty Dave looks like he is going to subjugate his pro-MSU bias and do his job, another idiot appears to trash UM.  I didn't bother reading the comments, either.  I knew nothing good would come of it.

My other question is this: if they are going to hire new guys for the UM beat, why doesn't Dearing read some of Andrew Reid's past work at the daily and put him on the beat?  Reid has done better writing about UM in the last three years than anyone currently at Ann Arbor dot com.

Dearing's "noble experiment" is in grave danger if he doesn't pull his head out of his ass soon.

they find these "experts" who say, essentially, that the University was just being parochial in their defense of Rodriguez, and clearly he's more guilty than they are letting on.  Yet they did not go out and make an attempt to find an opposing view to that.  They didn't try to find an "expert" who could give the other side of the argument.  This article was basically a column, not a news report.

... this practice time issue amounts to nothing more than a tempest in a teapot. The problem is, we live in a world that's too damned politically sensitive and loves to make mountains out of molehills just for the pleasure of watching people squirm. Now the NCAA is in the position of having to mete out "justice" in order to save face and appear to even casual observers as a serious governing body.

Damn it!

The more this story has evolved over the past year, the more I am convinced this is the old guard doing.  Someone leaked misinformation to the Freep trying to ruin RR.

I am very impressed how DB has handled this whole situation inside the dept and to the public.  I don't think we could of said the same with BM.

to spell Rodriguez properly?  Why do so many people insist on spelling it with a q?

I guess that's a dead giveaway that I unwisely ignored the OP's advice and read the comments.  I could feel my brain atrophying as I read.

Ahh the comment section on AA.com. It's truly the lunatic fringe on there. Looks like it's the last stop on the line for clowns who've been banned from Scout, Rivals, Mgoblog, mlive, etc. I read an article there recently and saw a comment from Tom Hagen, still spewing his hate for RR and kool aid drinkers.

As a former A2 News employee I can not make any disparaging comments. News last attempt at being a news source was Jim Carty series on athletes and easy classes. Truly something we all never knew. Paper at the end was so small you couldn't throw it. Big execs got job in new corp. Little guys who worked butts off got ..... Good luck Tony.
